Crystal and Syrcus Tower are not laggy for me, and I'm on a PS3 with a non-SSD HDD; I'm thinking that particular "real limitation" is actually an internet/connectivity problem on your end.Now that we know PS3 Limitations is real and here to stay, how do you think this will affect the game moving forward? The rendering issues become highly problematic in instances where a moderate number of players are within viewing distance. Hunts are near unplayable, CT/ST are laggy, Odin/Behemoth are near unplayable, and FATES used to be a nightmare when it was the goto EXP source.
I'm scared this is gonna , if it already hasn't , influence what content is released down the line for users on all systems. Will we see less "Massively Multiplayer" content and more small party instances based content because the ps3 can't handle it?
Thoughts?
In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.
