It's not too late to nerf. You are forgetting that the people who have been abusing it is a mere fraction of the population. MMOs are ever-growimg. If you account for the number of players joining the world every day for the next 7 years...the people in these gods-forsaken hunt parties only represent less than 1% of the total future population. SE can afford to upset some of them. Not changing the system now, while still in its infancy, would be asinine.
