    they should just make the teleports more expensive or use a different currency to use for teleporting ( something like in Ff12 where you use crystal thingies to teleport ).
    Instead of 300 gil to teleport make it like 3k gil.
    I believe this shouldn\\'t be much of a problem due to ppl bragging that they have thousands and thousands or millions of gil.
    Also make the currency to teleport obtainable thru GC seals or make them a crafted item but make it so that its crafted with not that hard to obtain items as everyone QQd on the magic stable broom lol.

    But yes the convenience of teleporting honestly defeats the purpose of the multiple ways to travel later on in the game.
    Might as well take out all the chocobo porters in the endgame areas ( i.e mor, the camp near the singing shards, coerthas, etc)

    Once i began my sightseeing log i actually appreciated traveling around to the designated points and having the chance to see the different angles and effects the weather had on areas.

    Wow...Rokien is still around? Thought you quit in the Beta because you thought this game was going no where or something.


    Anyway, even though we are once again beating a dead horse with this topic since we got our answer in...you know...the BETA... I still have to voice my opinion that Teleporting should have stuck with the 1.0 convention of using "Anima"...not your endless supply of gil. Anima recharged about the same amount of time your leve allowance recharges. That made people really think about teleporting. Everyone was using airships and ferries and mounts then.

    Teleporting is perfectly fine. If you'd prefer to go everywhere on foot, nobody's keeping you from doing so. I'd rather not be forced to spend a big chunk of my playtime just walking from A to B, thank you very much.

    Took me 30 minutes on FF11 to deliver an item for my Samurai Quest. Not only that i had to travel between areas...but i had to avoid also the Monsters out there. I knew most of the areas by hand...so...this teleport system is enjoyable...BUT...it not ok to have it.

    I mean, yes, please...Teleport from Uldah to LL to Gridania...and thats it!

    You want to go to Mordhona...take a sandwich...bring some Cola/Water, etc...press Auto RUn...and do your thing!

    Stop trying to force your preferences on everyone else. If you don't want to use teleports, don't. Walk, run, use chocobos, whatever. Teleporting is a game system that the developers want and is accepted by the majority of the playerbase. It's not going away.

    In the original version of the game teleport cost Anima, a sole resource dedicated to teleport, you could only had 100 anima, and teleport costs where as theya re now, the further you wished to teleport, the more expensive it was. The only way to recover anima was by letting time go by, and if I don't recall badly it was 1 anima point each 6h, so you had to manage how often you teleported.

    So, teleporting there is bad, but having the game run for you in a straight line is good?

    No! Make it to where running in the open world requires a thousand keystrokes per step, so that way no filthy "I have a life" players can taint this game with their "not everything in this game needs to be a huge chore" nonsense!

    Just bring the old Shroud, you had to be paying attention all the time to navigate that, no way to go on a straight line there for more than 3 steps. I really liked it, but I understand perfectly why people hated it and are glad it's long gone.

    OP & other teleport haters are the grandfathers of this game. Shouting at the rest of us to get off their lawns, reminiscing "In my day if you wanted to get from Gridania to Revenant's Toll you ran. And you like it! Hmph.” & the Unending Journals in the Inn Rooms are blinking 12:00.

    Also, for the love of god, enough with the different forms of in game currency. No to Anima.
