No secondaries ever outweight the gain of +2 Weapon Damage, Period. You gimp yourself and the LB output of your group by taking a lower weapon. Only reason for taking another than the highest weapon is, if HA weapon has no ACC and you're below cap then.
prove it, and correct me if im wrong but isnt LB damage static?
I got bored and tested something with 2 WD difference, Allagan and weathered. Turns out, weathered only produced about 300 more damage with optimal rotations... Both using the same set. I'll get back to this thread later tonight or tomorrow with a handful of tests to show what I mean.
Which class, which timeframe, which stat allocation, ... If they share the same allocation you should notice a DPS increase of at least 15 from my eperience over a long timeframe of maybe 3-5 minutes. Increase is an increase IMO, and pushing the groups LB output underlines this fact.I got bored and tested something with 2 WD difference, Allagan and weathered. Isn't it also affected by the stat bonus provided by having a diversity of jobs compared to stacking?
Like if you do Titan HM with 1 PLD, 2 WHM, 5 BLM, you only get VIT, MND and INT stat bonus for the party, while if you have more diversity, you can get VIT, STR, DEX, MND, PIE and INT bonus...
At least it's my belief that having all 6 stat bonuses give better LB damage than if it's only 3 stat bonuses... or maybe it only affects LB generation rate...
I think its generation rate
So in essence a minimal increase at best and not consistent probably. Advantage to LB yes but not a critical issue, i110 will still get you where you need to go on that front. So to sum up in response to OP's post we can say that Novus is not worthless?Which class, which timeframe, which stat allocation, ... Solely looking at "DPS" doesn't mean anything when with the proper secondaries, you can match the outgoing damage with 10 less DPS... And each run is around 4 1/2 minutes, so.Which class, which timeframe, which stat allocation, ...
