You said you sat in party finder for a couple hours, so you see how hard it would be to do this without the help of those 7 others that already have, to think your watching cutscenes is more important than the time of those 7 others is kind of selfish. After sitting in party finder for that long you should be thankful to those people, because now you can move on with the main story.

Why would I do that, those Ishgardian ingots are selling well now, and that is a far stretch on your part, I told the OP they should be thankful 7 people carried them through a main story dungeon after he waited for over 2 hours on it, even after the OP got lost by not paying attention. I never said anything about ragequitting or anything like that, I just didn't feel that the OP should have come to forums to whine about being carried.

You're being a troll, nobody was whining about being carried, he wanted to experience the content just like everyone else. He was just pointing out that there are still new players and slowing down a hair and explaining just enough to keep up won't hurt elite egos.

So you try party finder because you didn't want a speed run, get tired of no one helping, so you join duty finder, knowing that a speed run is probably what is waiting? You get in tell them you are new, at this point do you expect them to not do a speed run for you? If they said nothing and ran off, you should have been able to tell they were speed running, if you didn't keep up that is on you. If you see them run up to something and disappear and you can't figure out you need to run up to it and click it, that is on you. You couldn't get a non speed run party made, so you went to the ease of the duty finder, and after 7 others didn't cater to you, it upset you enough to post about it on the fourms, I see that as your problem not theirs. And the 7 others were working as a team, you weren't. You knew you were quieng up for what would most likely be a speed run, then come here to complain that you qued up and got a speed run.

Nowhere did the OP say they didn't want a speedrun. All they were mentioning is if it is a speed run at least let people know which way to run incase they don't know.

Alright, I see you are indeed a troll so this is my last response. Having just turned level 50, I have never participated in a speed run. Did I join DF knowing it would be a speed run? NOPE! I do however know that there is controversy over watching cut scenes which is why I skip them and watch them on my own time. Now this is where you seem to get confused: When a group is speed running, they all have their cut scenes turned off. I did not, as I had never watched them before so the "Skip cut scene if seen before" option does not apply.

So start dungeon, wait for cut scene to load, skip cut scene, wait for dungeon to load because it is 8 players it takes even longer to load, plus I am on the PS3, so that means an even longer time. I could never see where they went. How was I to follow? My only choice was to explore. So I am going A-B-C-D and they are going A-D, making it impossible for me to catch up. Not to mention I keep dying because I am exploring and running from mobs.

Am I asking people to cater to me? Nope! Am I trying to make people aware of this issue so they can take note of stragglers and maybe give them a chance to catch up? I sure am! The more people that know the dungeon (and how to fight the bosses), the more it helps out the community as a whole. Simple as that.

Then I got a few buffs, added some fists of fire...but...wtf. Everyone was gone!

Now you are saying as you load in everyone was gone. The cutscenes skipping at the start makes no difference, because the gate doesn't go down until everyone has either skipped or watched the opening cutscene. Your story is changing, leading me to believe anymore you just weren't paying attention to everyone when they ran off. Also if you didn't think duty finder would be a speed run, why did you sit in party finder for two hours before you finally decided to go with the duty finder? Just doesn't make sense.

Yes, because there's no cutscene before first boss. And after first boss. And getting into magitek armour. And blasting open a door. And before the second boss. After second boss. Activating an elevator. After third boss. Opening a door. After fourth boss. Killing fourth boss. Killing fifth boss.

Right, because ONLY the first cutscene matters.

Oh right, lets also forget the elevator trips. Surely they can just jump down, right? They obviously don't need to wait for people to go down, press a switch, wait for elevator to come back up, press switch, elevator go down! Surely it's their own fault they can't keep up!

Is this really necessary? You are entitled to your opinion on the matter. But the delivery doesn't have to be like that. Or not said at all. OP was just explaining about how it was really confusing in the dungeon. And it can be confusing for new people.

Don't mean to go all grade school, but...

If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.
