My approach to macros is probably not perfect but it has proven to be effective for me. I pretty much think of my CDs in the camps of minor and major. Minor would encompass Foresight, Feather Foot, and Bloodbath with major being Vengeance, Convalescence and Thrill of Battle.

I have a hotbar slot for each of the major ones as they are most beneficial for handling a large hit that you know is coming.

The minor ones I have macro'd onto the end of Butcher's Block as follows:

/micon "Butcher's Block"
/ac "Butcher's Block" <t>
/wait 1
/ac "Foresight" <me>
/ac "Bloodbath" <me>
/ac "Featherfoot" <me>

Once hate is established, I'm usually alternating between Butcher's Block for hate and Storm's Path/Storm's Eye (situationally) for the debuffs. This leads to me using Butcher's Block every 6-9 CDs and after Butcher's Block goes off a minor CD is used automatically. This keeps them rotating throughout the fight automatically without me having to constantly worry about what their recast is when I'm oftentimes more focused on other mechanics.

Vengeance, Thrill of Battle and Convalescence though, I always micro-manage.

Like I said, this probably isn't the absolute optimal way to handle your CDs but on PS4 it has saved me a bunch of space on my hotbars and made sure that I'm using all my CDs that are available.
