
Good point, yeah it would have to have the same hp. Of course invisible and untargetable would be preferred but i don't know if that would stop them.Would these nodes be invisible and untargetable?
I kind of like this idea... doesn't impact normal players, doesn't assume everyone is a cheater or have any of this guilty-until-proven-innocent nonsense... but it still lowers the value of the 3rd party tool.
But I would say give it the same hp as the mob it's named after... I'm pretty sure the tools can scrape HP from the client (so they would adapt to ignore 1hp mobs).



Well, if it can be set so that it's in the client's memory as a mob, but players can't see or target it... then it won't impact normal players but it should fool these third party programs, ie a radar app will see the mob data and display it on the map.
Based on what I understand of these programs technically. But yes, I do like this. Seems like an actual, practical countermeasure to cheating. All the "remove hunts" or "make changes X, Y, Z that nerf it into the ground" or "everyone participating's a cheater just ban them!" posts are ridiculous.
