What does "self entitlement" have to do with complaining about an aspect of the game you don't like. Is this how you counter trolls have evolved? At least I come here to point out what I like and what I don't like, what's your reason to be here? To insult random people? I can see one of us being pathetic and it's not me.

As said multiple times in the thread, if you don't like the content don't do it. No one forces you to stand around in one area for a fate, no one forces you to do anything. You are free to make every choice you want in game, god forbid you have to grind a little bit to get something of note, or have a little patience.

The best part is, you're complain about it, but you're going to keep doing the content because you want the end result. Just like when people complain about how much they hate their job, but they wake up and go to it every day so they can get paid. Why are you even playing an mmo if you are complaining about time sinks?

May we at least concede that the relic upgrade is boring, unchallenging and in the end a simple myth grind?
With 2.3 I have to agree with Legacy that Ramuh and ST are propably the best sources for a good weapon (unless you can farm T9).

With the latest patch the myth "grind" is the easiest part. Doing hunts alone over the course of a week I got enough myth for not one, but two books. Myth is a joke now and by far the easiest part of books, it's so nice to not have to spam speedflox or any other dungeon and to be rewarded with myth as I'm doing something I enjoy like hunts.

Calm down with the victimization. People throw entitlement because so many people QQed about atma and demanded nerfs when there were other ways to get weapons, yet for some reason "IT MUST BE NERFED because I can't do it". It appears entitled.

I'm in the group that thinks the Atma grind is one of the worst things that SE could have ever come up too and I have done it twice, so your "it must be nerfed because I can't do it" does NOT apply me. Why have I done it twice? Because the relic weapons of those classes I like are too attractive to entirely skip them, but that doesn't mean the content we are obliged to do if we want to get them is absolutely terrible.

They applied to every event in 1.0. Touch a bell, get your item. ARR's version are FATEs. It's almost sickening how much SE depends on FATEs. If FATEs was a human, you'd bet SE would in bed with him/her/it. The problem with FATEs is that you're forced to sit there and wait for HOURS for a specific FATE to pop. Can't do anything else because then you'll miss it. If the atma books were more like "Complete x FATEs in <zone> with a gold rank" I think that would be better than waiting 3+ hours for a specific one.

I'm going to continue playing a game I enjoy playing, and I'm going to give my feedback whenever I think SE implements something that damages their own game. Because if I like 95% of FFXIV's content but the 5% that I don't like happen to reward i110 gear and the most popular weapon in the entire game then I will show my disagreement with what's going on. If it was for white knights like you you would still be playing 1.0. which I recall was a lot of fun.

I can only agree with the OP personally. I would love to get my hands on a relic novus and I would have one if it required content that was remotely challenging or fun but the fact is that FATEs are not fun to me and because of that I've chosen to opt out of the whole Zenith weapon thing despite really wanting to participate.

The Zenith weapon quests are not content in my opinion, I already did my fair share of FATEs getting jobs to 50 which should be their only intended purpose. The current system for Zenith weapons feels like nothing more than a time sink, which I agree this game needs, but personally I would rather have seen dungeons/primals/raids be the recycled content used for Zenith weapons. At the end of the day, I play a level 50 job to play a level 50 job, not get level synced and help out low level people trying to level up on FATEs. That may seem selfish, I don't know, but I help people all the time with level 50 content and it doesn't make me want to quit this game while FATEs do, which is my main reason for avoiding them.

I enjoyed 1.0, especially around the 1.23 time. It's not as good as ARR, but plenty of people enjoyed it. There are alternatives to everything in the game, for people with a ton of time, and for casuals. The game is continuing to flesh out nicely. I can appreciate your "feedback" but all it really is in everyone else's eyes is just a complaint and they'll treat it like one as these "feedback" threads have littered the OF's since the implementation of animus.

The fact that there are alternatives pretty much tells you that the "grind" of animus - novus and beyond is here to stay. The guy above me's post is a shining example of "this is too long i don't want to do it so I'm not going to" good thing for him there are alternatives.

To me this is a total contradiction, you do not appreciate the feedback if you consider it a complaint. It's your opinion really but if you look at every thread providing "feedback" in this forum it generally could be called a complaint, because that's what feedback is, somebodies thoughts on how something could be improved/changed for the better. If you don't like it you're entitled to disagree with it but you don't speak for "everyone else" because I agree with the OP and support the feedback.
