and the theme songs that will be rearranged.Yoshida has stated at least once that once the Crystal Tower events are wrapped up, there will be another "throwback" set of dungeons/raids directly inspired by another Final Fantasy game.
Personally, V is my favourite Final Fantasy game (that job system is so good), so I'd be all for it. My personal choice would be a series of raids in the Cleft of Dimensions, probably fluffed in XIV as a civilization that, in communion with the void, accidentally got its entire island swallowed up. Many of V's most recognisable bosses appeared in the Cleft (Melusine, Azulmagia, Twintania, Halicarnassus, Necrophobe, Shinryuu, Omega...) and just think of the visual effects they could apply.

I wish FFXIV would create its own lore instead of ripping-off the other FF and games all the times.
An FFV inspired raid would be all right, and could echo the three-act structure already put in place by the Binding Coils and Crystal Tower. However, I would rather see something based on FFIV or FFVI! For FFIV it could be a surface/underground/lunar ruins trilogy of locations, with Cid needing to devise new methods of transport in order to get us where we need to go, as his counterpart did in that game. The Giant of Babil and the Four Fiends would be an amazing raid as well! For FFVI, while another "Tower" might not be a very original idea after Crystal Tower, I could see my way towards climbing Kefka's Tower, with the Warring Triad being the main bosses of each section.
FFIV? I hope not!! please don't make me climb up (or down) that Tower of Babil again. An FFV inspired raid would be all right, and could echo the three-act structure already put in place by the Binding Coils and Crystal Tower. I completely missed the FFV reference as well. I think that could bring very interesting dungeons as well as potentially new jobs. Though I can't imagine what those might be at this point. Perhaps time mage?
You say FFV is your favorite classic game? We are officially friends now.seeing the Crystal Tower and all the classic villains from FFIII coming with their original stories, make me want to see content based on FFV, my most favorite classic game of the series.
since Exdeath is known for controlling the Void, I think it should be easy to implement. they already mentioned Krile and Gilgamesh is here.
But yeah, I absolutely wanna see more FFV-inspired content! What would be really interesting would be a boss fight against Famed Mimic Gogo with a very similar tech (Basically he repeats every skill the players use right back at them), then throw in a bunch of adds to force them to act, and have the defeat of the adds reduce Gogo's HP somehow? That could be a really fun fight, I think, and it would require a lot of strategy!
Though something I really want is a Crystal Tower-esque romp through the Interdimensional Rift, complete with all of the Demons of the Rift. Make Exdeath the final boss of the second-to-last area of the Interdimensional Rift, and stick Enuo at the very end!
I mean, FFV is a cornerstone game in the Final Fantasy franchise with how much lore it introduces into the multiverse, from the use of The Rift to the repeated sightings of Gilgamesh to the introductions of the superbosses Omega and Shinryu to the modern Job System as we know it... I really hope the devs tackle The Rift after Crystal Tower wraps up in 2.5.
Final Fantasy V's most famous jobs, AFAIK, are Archer/Ranger (Rapid Fire), Mystic Knight/Sorcerer (Magic Sword), and Mime, though Dancer was also introduced in FFV. Ranger could be a new job for Archer, Mystic Knight could be a new job for Gladiators (maybe), Mime could be a brand new job all on its own since it's literally just an upgraded form of freelancer, and Dancer could be a new job for Rogue.
A FFIV based raid would be awesome, I would love taking on the four fiends and Zeromus again, maybe with Golbez somewhere in there as well.An FFV inspired raid would be all right, and could echo the three-act structure already put in place by the Binding Coils and Crystal Tower. Yes! more V references please, V is also my favorite non MMO (my top 3 rank is XI>V>VI but I know VI is the most well made ans VII is the most hyped one, and XI was love it or hate it)
shush!!! XIV has its own nice lore, heck its full game reboot that happened IRL was translated into FXIV lore, so let us enjoy the nods, tributes ans references to other FFs, I like those references, the make this game more roothed in what made FF franchise so much lovable (things I cannot say about the games that tried to be all different save some ugly chocobos (Im looking at you FFXIII)) .
I'm going to agree with this, not just because I'd like to see it, but because it's refreshing to see a positive topic.
