This is more logical. People aren't stepping on each other and using bannable hacks simply for the thrill of the hunt and some glamour gear. They want to upgrade their weathered gear and relic weapons without having to raid.
A bunch of ilv 55 can do Odin and bene just fine, the reward would be worth it then. Plus you have a chance to get books from the hunts so how would capping help the Zerg?
Fix it to where you are allowed one book from each hunt per week, or just make it so they don't drop them anymore.
It has nothing to do with people wanting to upgrade without raiding. It's the fact that Raids are locked to 1 sand per week per 8 people (2 if you can down Turn 9). Not to mention some statics have set loot order so it could be weeks before you even have a chance at a sand. On the flip side, if you PUG everything you have RNG to contend with as all 8 people will be rolling on that Sand.
That's so dumb. i110 is 3 months old, and you still want it even harder to gain? That means you would get 1 sand every 3 weeks, which means you'd only be able to upgrade 4 peices of gear on your left side if you don't do coil before 2.4? You can't even build up enough sands/oils to gear NIN? That is so stupid. The dumbest thing possible would be to cap seals or limit sands/oils. The content is THREE MONTHS OLD, and halfway to being forgotten about when they release 2.4. They are trying to find more ways to include oils/sands/UAT into the game and you're telling them to do less? If there's a cap, or a lockout, hunts will be zerged on Tuesday and never touched again for the rest of the week....it is right now, currently the MOST ACTIVE thing to do every single day of the week, which makes it so amazing in my book. Just need to fix HP.
Just put Sands and Oil on the myth vendor. People will scream bloody murder if something is taken away from them, so there's really no other fix at this point.
That still doesn't address the lack of casual option for obtaining seals, nor the disproportionate rewards from marks. There's almost no incentive to do anything else when you're getting a ridiculous amount of seals, myth and soldiery.
Elites are fine as they are, imo. They're meant as server wide content. They're supposed to be hard to find and you're supposed to work with other people to find it. By other people, I mean a party, FC, or LS.
I'm fine with hunts being as they are and it's Summer time so there are a LOT more people with free time on their hands. However, to help fix the issue of people constantly complaining, they should raise the number of seals you get from dailies. Maybe to about 15 (ish) seals per day. That way you're guaranteed to get at least 105 seals a week for just doing dailies. On top of that, they could add maybe 2 more B ranks and 1 more A rank per zone.
