Petition on a SE New Patcher

Instead of releasing the patches to us ASAP we should wait a week just for the convience of people who can't get the patch to work properly?

I'd rather them work on fixing the current issue with the torrent system they are using.

Well the patch bug testing will probably be done within a couple of days, actually. The rest of the time before the release I'm betting for the next few days they will be getting the servers ready for the high strain due to all of the players DLing at the same time and do some finalizing of some bugs. It would be better if I could DL all of the patch a week before it goes live so I can log in immediately.

Adding a week to the formula just to catter to the few who have issues with the torrent system is not the answer.

While I've never had patch issues myself "1 hour at the most" I know people who have had to wait up to 10 hours to patch, but personally thats better than waiting an extra week just to touch the content.

Pre posting a updated patch could people have verification they've done everything in their power to make the existing patcher better? Because if you have your port forwarded/triggered at max it should take you an hour to get the patches, on average 20-30 mins, and thats better than most mmos patchers.

You make a good point and I retract my statement. However, I still think SE's patcher/launcher needs to be worked on in the future.

Despite not being illegal some admins take an overly heavy handed approach. I have a friend who's been wanting to play but so far has been unable to download a single patch!

the patcher is the last thing SE needs to fix since its not broken.

You could always send it to them Via email if you play and are regularily updated.

the patcher is the last thing SE needs to fix since its not broken.

i'm sure that's all we need to do....... oh wait i do have my router set for a manual exception for the patcher and the ports forwarded, but doesn't stop me from downloading for multiple hours with the patcher. with bitcomet i download it in a fraction of the time. the point is some people have no issues with the patcher and others have major issues with it and it's something they need to look into correcting.

I don't have problems, however I know of people who have port forwarding setup and STILL have problems. I download torrents and such just fine. If your update patcher requires you to have the knowledge of how to setup port forwarding JUST to be able to get a decent download rate, then something is wrong.

i haven't had any issues with the patches, usually done in few mins to 10mins but i signed it, also the idea of it downloading a week earlier so none of us have to wait on the day the patch goes live is really cool idea.
