The law where he said it's not illegal to download but it is to sell it is most likely incorrect.

The fact is, it's almost a global law that you cannot "distribute" it, doesn't matter if you sell it or not. Guess what? Using a torrent distributes, since while you download you're also uploading to other downloaders.

If you torrent, no matter where you live, you're committing an illegal act. Doesn't matter if you sell it.

Again here you can't be punished if you download mp3 becouse you want to hear music...but if you sell copied CD yes you can be punished....this is law in my country....(about piracy)

It's funny because out of the laws you listed yourself they sound similar to the laws of the countries where it's illegal to view lolicon, which you said it's legal. You'd be surprised what laws really are in a lot of places.

Take Canada for example. Here, piracy isn't much of a problem, we don't give a shit about it and the police don't arrest people who do it, even though it's illegal. Bring in a single page of a lolicon manga though, and you'll be thrown in jail for over a year and also have to submit your DNA to go on the national sex offenders registry.

Italy.....only real pedoporn image (or video) bring you to jail for a lot of time (and probably you don't exit from the jail on your legs)

Drawed reproduction (like loli manga) don't count as pedopornographic crime....

Im still wondering in which country you live... Just a hint.. Rapidshare, Megaupload and all others are just giving out Space to Upload and Download Stuff. You should read their agreements... on ALL of those Sites they say that it IS illegal to download copyright'd Stuff.

Becouse it is a generalized advertisment..but in italy is not illegal (file sharing too is not illegal) only selling or building money on other's work...

Provider try to control p2p traffic with a sort of filter that cut your line on p2p..but there isn't a law that talk about piracy crime....(not now)
