You have a lot to learn if you think that's pessimism. It's called being realistic. That's really pessimistic and i feel sorry for you, i'm not saying ppl should be compensated, pll just shouldn't be compensated for having an advantage, about why can't they give in-game items, i have already stated my opinion about it in my second or third post in this thread.
Also i said, ticket, travel and hotel, not just ticket, don't cheat.
Sorry just so much irritation for both here and rl work. (lots of stupid people today) anyways.
Let's see if I can do this calmly and rationally lol.
One, I'm not even gonna have the item. I'm not going.
II think that even though it sucks, they deserve something for making it. So they can stick out in public. People can see them and say "hey, they went to fanged, that's cool."
I don't think every item needs to be obtainable for every person ever. Otherwise it takes the uniqueness from the game, and the feeling from people. It's the same as the lightning event, and future events, people get them, some people don't. It's a good thing to have.
Contrary to the seemingly popular belief, everyone doesn't need everything, and you guys won't die if you don't get an exclusive item.
Please stop crying.
Thanks.

I'll be going. Won't mind it if there was a virtual ticket option for $60 or so.
Fanfest * damn phone auto correct

This is not a rant or entitlement, idk about the others but i'm talking about something that for me is an injustice, they have the enormous privilege of being there, why do they need more?
I mentioned this is not like the lightning event, yes this is something exclusive now, but back then everyone had the chance to do the event in equal conditions, some ppl were low lvl others didn't even had the game in mind, but they could have been there and made it in time, but the fanfest is very different, for someone living far from the event, and by someone i'm talking about a big majority of the players, attending to the event is very costly, this is a brick wall for most ppl, and if the frustration for not being able to go there isn't enough, these fortunate players going there are obtaining an exclusive in-game item.
I'm sorry but i'm not giving this to SE, not without fighting.
he said sorry, don't be rude.

You've been here since 2011, meaning you more than likely played FFXI - Did you remember how Vanafest/FanFests had exclusive items as well..? And how they hardly affected gameplay in any fashion?
I think cash shops are bad for games, just leads to more and more pay to win type things. The Fantasia is enough.
As for them going thing, the company wants to give them a reward, for going out of their way, sacrificing work, possibly play time, and who know what else, to go attend the event. The company is providing them a nice item, exclusively for them, to show their thanks to the people who attend. And I thin kits great that se does that for them.
Also, grats on showing that you started in may 2011?
I played in 1.0 beta. The only reason I'm not on that account is because my ffxi account, which was linked, got hacked about 2 years ago. So i lost that and had to make this character.
I'm glad you've been around for 3 years though. =)
Edit since I've hit my posting list for the day(damn I've posted a lot lol)
If you want to go so far as even not believing me, I can go find my characters and even pics, since I have a few pics and my characters are still in the list. And I even think I still have my Webpage for my ls lol. On that guild whatever site. XD

You go car shopping and a dealership has a promotion going on where if you buy a new car you get a free vacation to the Bahamas. Your budget doesn't allow you to buy a brand new car, you can only afford the $3000 used car on the back lot. Are you still entitled to the vacation? Should they provide you with a "free" vacation if you can't buy that new car but can afford to pay for the plane ticket? Not everyone can take those days off work, not everyone can afford the ticket + travel fees + hotel fees. In a perfect world, everyone would have the same chance but alas. And even as you said, there are a limited amount of tickets.
You yourself state that these are merely "pixels" in a video game. If it is so insignifant and everyone already has equal chance to attend then what is wrong with selling the items alone?
People not being able to take work off, afford travel or hotel fees or any other excuse is not the problem of SE. They're selling a ticket to their event for $120. That ticket grants you access to the event and a complimentary item for going. If they run out of tickets or don't have the supply that they promised would be available then it becomes their problem, but you being able to get to the event is all on you. They don't owe anyone anything. Period. It's a complimentary item for attending the event. So yes, it's very insignificant assuming it's not a "game breaking" item that will give others in game an unfair advantage.
Quick, better demand that they sell Garlond Goggles, Hermes Sandals, Onion Helms, Wind-up Dalamud and Wind-up Bahamut on the Mog Station as well. God forbid anyone not be able to have everything that everyone else has. While we're at it, let's have them sell Legacy Chocobos, 1.0 Goobue mounts and Legacy tattoos as well. Oh and don't forget about White Ravens either!
Exactly this.
