You clearly have not played with a good bard. It's a very busy job when played well and they almost always are made to handle most mechanics in half of coil (turn 1, 2, 7, and 8 specifically). The only thing I don't like about mrhappy's vids are that they are from a Bard's perspective. And that, to me, is quite honestly the laziest "job" this game has to offer. It almost feels like it was meant to be a support-only role, but then at the last minute they just decided, "Hey, we'll give it some attacks too and it can be a DPS."
I watch videos. I do not watch Mr. Happy though. I watched a few of his and I do not like them. I know that the videos however are not the key to being "pro", it just lets me know what to expect.
I personally think it helps. It is a extra tool that I use for learning. I can't say that it makes me a better player or even a bad player. I don't think that someone who doesn't watch the videos is bad at playing either. It is just a matter of learning perspectives.

And your point is?
You like doing that. Fine. But don't be that "I'm not going to vaccinate my kids because of religious reasons" then wonder why other parents raise hell because there is a unvaccinated kid in their child's class.
Funny how the people dieing first in Titan Ex or Levi Ex are usually the party leader putting "must have cleared before, 1 fail = kick, i95+ for titan Ex" (sigh). The one wanting a carry isn't exactly the ones joining. Thankfully we can tell who is an idiot with the absurd PF requirements.I think the REAL problem is when people who have no clue join PF parties that REQUIRE that you be experienced. These people try to sneak in all the time. You've seen them. Drowning in Leviathan, killing the BLM in Mog EX without denting the other moogles, getting hit by every Weight and Landslide in Titan EX... Weekly clear party? Must be experienced!? TIME TO SNEAK IN AND HOPE FOR A CARRY.
That's a bad reason. You should dislike Mrhappy's videos because they are often wrong in rotations, explain things badly and follow the rule "omahgerd need to be the first one to post a kill videooooooooo". (For those who don't know said rule, it's simple : get a more or less clean kill, then add random and/or inexact comments on it. Then post it as "the true one method to do it" and try to gather a bit of glory from it)
Oh yeah, I guess I dislike him too because his twitch is asking us to pay. Good job Mrbaddy.
Checked her out. Nice vids. Only prob is that there isnt a t9 guide and her t8 guide came out 2 weeks ago. Furthermore, her Mog ex guide just came out yesterday. That's pretty late. I usually go with Mr. Happy and other FCs/statics who go for server-first 'cause I know they'll have a vid up much quicker
I like her vids, nice and quick, and even a idiot like me can understand them. The way I understand it, is she makes the videos when she's comfortable with how the fight works and her FC has it down.Checked her out. Nice vids. Her Mog one came out super late though because she hates the fight iirc, she wasn't even going to do it but people kept asking so she provided.
I.... I don't know why I know this stuff. :P
Imo ppl tend to copy the vids with the clearest anslysis of the fight/ easiest & less gimmicky way of doing the fight.
Ppl want to watch vids so that when they go into fights they will go from
Younoob to youpro after a few tries/ wipes.
