Based on all of the comments, we’ll be spending a bit more time looking into the automatic removal of land and house feature again, and we expect to implement it sometime after patch 2.4. Once the details have been finalized we will be sure to make an announcement.

Well at least it's being rethought to some extent. Let's hope we get good news back about this.
