Why are there so many people running with the 1% drop rate thrown out by the OP? There are other people who have gotten it much quicker. Should they come on here and claim the drop rate is 15% (or whatever random % they come up with) due to their experience? =.=.

RNG is fickle, and it hates a great number of people. Seems OP is one of them.

After a large enough sample size is obtained you can remove outliers, find the average drop rate, and remove personal biases like that. I've personally seen 2 drop within three runs, but statistically the drop rate is still 1%. He isn't talking about RNG. He is talking about statistics here.

Perhaps I am being dense, but one person saying they've run something X amount of times and they've only seen something drop once is not enough proof in my eyes to claim a 1% drop rate for something in game. If SE were to publish a report showing how many times a particular instance has been done, along with the number of exclusive item dropped, and it still equaled 1%, cool.

    That's how randomness works.

Either way, while it's pretty argh, it's worth noting that Levi weapons are painful to people because the mirrors are viewed by a lot as necessary, not a bonus. You have three ways to get a level 100 weapon right now: Mirror, Second Coil, or the Atma/Animus megagrind. Essentially, when the alternate choices are "redoing content from my levelling-to-50 days over and over" and "Well, I don't have a static so I'm ****ed"... you see what I mean, right? It should feel less painful once Ramuh weapons and Syrcus Tower drops come into play so there's at least some variety for those who want to get their hands on an i100 weapon.

Doesn't necessarily mean an extremely rare drop existing is still all that great, given like you said, there's 8 people who will see it but only one walks away with it.
