I refuse to believe the issue with Healer gear drops is "just RNG", Square.

I never, ever see people complaining about DPS gear dropping, tank gear dropping, etc, and yet I have no issues finding posts from people complaining about Healer gear. And for bloody good reason! When I first hit 50 a few months ago, I got the Royal Vest to drop in CT and the Darklight neck piece. And that's it. Since late February, I've regularly run CT, dungeons from both 2.1 and 2.2, trials, and recently started doing Binding Coil as well.

Not one. Not a single piece of Healer gear has *ever* dropped in a single one of these runs. Not in Binding Coil, not in CT, not facing any primals, and not in a single dungeon. The healing drop rate is completely ridiculous and the lack of feeling like I'm making any progress other than grinding out currency for merchant upgrades is extremely disheartening and makes me want to barely even play, even though I love almost everything about the game.

There is something seriously wrong with the frequency of healing gear drop rates in this game, and there is no way I'm going to believe with the kind of experiences I'm seeing that it's honestly just RNG. I don't even know if Square reads their own forum, but if they do, something seriously needs done.

I'm not talking about complaining that I haven't geared up fully in a couple weeks, I'm talking about the fact not a single piece of gear has dropped from every single possible avenue in the game in over four months. This is ridiculous.

RNG is RNG, got 8 healer gears out of 10 drops in T4 last time I did it
I now got all healer gear from T4 while I was on BLM.

That's how RNG works, some get lucky and some get screwed. It's random.

And this is why too much RNG sucks. At least we have Myth/SLD options.

It is just RNG. First clear of Binding Coil of Bahamut, guess what dropped? My Scholar tome. Second win? White Mage cane. RNG is RNG. Tautology is tautology.

Out of the 4 T6 kills I've gotten (my progression has been a little bit wonky, but that's another story), EVERY SINGLE ONE has given at least one piece of healing gear - and the first two times BOTH chests yielded healing gear. Two sides of the same coin - especially since I've yet to see a piece of casting gear drop from Second Coil. RNG is RNG, it happens, nothing you can do except keep trying in spite of what appears to be unbelievably bad luck.

Also, as mentioned above, at least you HAVE Myth/Soldiery gear to make some sort of gear progression, rather than being completely blocked by a number whose only relevance is in the one piece of gear that it generates.

Edit: Just knocked T6/7 again, 3/4 drops were healing. Still no casting for me.

In my raid group we always get at least one healer drop every T6 kill. Our tanks were QQing because gear for them rarely drops in that turn. Like someone said, RNG is RNG. It's sucks but it's part of the game.

I'm sorry for your bad luck but RNG is random. There are already several healers on my server with nearly full second coil gear including the weapons. Additionally I see DL healing gear drop all the time in dungeons and had no issues getting RNG weapons/accessories for my scholar. Good luck with your future drops, if it doesn't get better at least you have tomes.

Our FC got more healer gear then anything else in 2nd coil.

Yeah its just bad luck Ashe... Yesterday in T6 both healer items drop. I'm a firm believer in the mind is a powerful thing. The more you hope, wish, and look for something to drop, it seems to never drop. My bro had to do 70+ CT runs back in the day to get those healer gloves. I had to do the same trying to get the black mage gloves after I had passed on them many times and then decided I wanted them. The WHM did die in that run, and was dead when we won when the two healer items dropped.... But that's just in our head too lol... well... maybe not that one, it sure does happen a lot.
