Okay I swear now you're purposely tempting me to upgrade or crossfire. Need....to.... control....Well indeed there are a lot of new releases these days and how things get replaces are getting faster and faster, but price point versus performance is something more and more people are going to look at. Just like Titan Black and Titan Z. High benchmark scores, but when you look at the price and do the math about performance/bucks... you know the answer
Things like R9 290 are gems that happened once in a while imo
LOL I'm tempted to crossfire myself since I am running on 3 monitors, 1x 1440p and 2x 1080p. Single 290 seems sufficient for now but might want some future buffer in case I drop the 2 1080p for the same model of 1440p and do some eyefinity
Too bad FFXIV doesn't support crossfire/SLI as of now.
I'm using 2 7950's with 3 1080p monitors for FF14 and I can tell you I get 100% usage for both cards and much higher performance when I enable crossfire.LOL I'm tempted to crossfire myself since I am running on 3 monitors, 1x 1440p and 2x 1080p. What you are doing is enabling the 2nd GPU for enough VRAM for your 3 monitor eyeinfinity?
If single monitor, crossfire or not doesn't make a diff.
