FFXIV Has loads more Content than SWTOR Ever had.

Swtor went free to play in what, a year? if FFXIV does aswell you can say "I told you so."

Coil on release wasnt buggy at all.

    Vault was. BIGTIME.

Cross Server Dungeon Finder? FFXIV had it on release, Swtor? Nope.

FFXIV never had Dead Server problems as bad as Swtor did. and in Swtor it was even worse due to No Cross Server Dungeon Ques.

Leveling in Swtor you went from Planet A to B to C to D to E to F to G. Bam 50.

Oh your Level 30 and you want to level in a different zone? Nope. youre suck on that Planet cause its the only 1 that has quests your level. sure they over lapped a little. but not by more than 3 levels.

While FFXIV has 3 different Themed area's each with a level 30 leveling area.

I love knowing how a thread is going to go just by looking at the poster.

Anyway, FFXIV has one HUGE, MASSIVE, ENORMOUS advantage the SWToR never had, nor will ever have...no investors that want their money back now, now, now.

The only downside to FFXIV ARR is the current issue that grinds are becomes massive and nearing 2 months long as experiences that can't be enjoyed.

WoW has massive amounts of rehashed content. WoW has slow content release and if you visit the forums, "WoW is dead" is a daily topic. Yet WoW isn't dead. Wanna make that comparison? ")

That is exactly why SWTOR went to F2P because a lack of fulfilling content in regards to endgame.
I would say it is closer to WoW than SWTOR. People leave after they finish the new patch content, and come back with the next patch, similar to WoW's expansions. Only the diehards or casuals stay on the game between patches/expansions

WoW has been dead to me since BC. I stayed playing because of friends and family for 5 years.

Yet it has taken WoW nearly 4 expansions or 7 years to realize that the way Ghostcrawler approached content and balance was unhealthy and for them to fix all those years of accumulated damages through changes perfectly is a task of its own. (Which is basically what FFXI and FFXIV went through.)

Yet you wanna know why WoW isn't dead? That's because no matter how you look at it WoW did something right and a lot of those players that are dissatisfied despite being dissatisfied aren't gonna get an experience equivalent to or better than WoW elsewhere.

Not only that, but Star Wars the Old Republic is an MMORPG in a franchise that pretty much has the canon of the universe spelled to a T in one form or another. Final Fantasy the Franchise as a whole doesn't have that problem. The Canon is re-invented in each new Final Fantasy Game (excepting for direct sequels, or spin-off's such as Dissidia). So really the Square-Enix Developers have a great deal more freedom to do what it is they want to do with the game design for the most part. They are not tied down to presenting the world the way that the fans expect the world to be presented.
