The really fun part is that I'm sure almost everyone who played Thief in FFXI probably went for THF/NIN so they were casting Jutsus all the time![]()

shut your whore mouth sir! if a single Jutsu is done then everything else I do in combat is meaningless! Stealthing in for the backstab with my daggers after casting a jutsu to make myself do more damage!?!?!?! MADNESS
Side note: Zidane is my least favorite Thief character in the series. I actually disliked IX on the whole, but I'm weird like that...
As to everything else, in the end I will give it a chance and see what I think since it is the class I was most looking forward to when I started playing. Who knows, maybe I will be surprised and actually enjoy it, only time will tell. My greater point is that many players, myself included, were disappointed (not raging...) by the announcement, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Only on occasion for solo content. THF/WAR was way more fun

Either you are:
A. A contrarian for the sake of being a contrarian.
B. Super over-analytical of video games.
C. The coolest person I have ever seen, met, or heard of before in my life.
I'll go with C.
VII was actually the first I played, and at the time I really enjoyed it. Replaying it later after playing through several previous games it just felt off. Never really could put my finger on exactly why...
FFT and IV are my favorites. GLD -> DRK as homage to Cecil {Can I have it?}
VIII and XII are my favorite FF games.
I also agree with the sentiment that VII is the most overrated game of all time.
Not even remotely trolling.
