You are giving this community way too much credit. This would be abused in so many situations, it's not even funny. Get your drop from a dungeon? *drop*. Don't like PS (or any random dungeon) that roulette gives you? *drop*. Progressing too slowly? *drop*.

If you are having an issue with a party, then just suck it up, and eat the 30 minutes. Maybe even ask the party to boot you. Sometimes people will be kind, and if you're just a DPS, then even more likely. There is plenty you can do in that little amount of time while you wait.

I just love how you're willing to purposefully troll the party (by just sitting down and refusing to help) to get your way. Grow up.

Read my comment again. Did I say I had done, or was actively doing that? Or was I making a point about the only other available option available to me right now if I want to avoid a lockout? If I was engaging in that kind of behaviour I wouldn't be making this proposal on the forums for christs sake, and I certainly wouldn't be bragging about this behaviour for all the GM's to see, would I? I don't think i'm the one who needs to grow up here.

That being said, players are using this method right now. So disregarding my method due to the potential for abuse is pretty futile given that the current system isn't devoid of the same thing.

I haven't done this as of yet, but right now i'm thinking the best option I have when faced with this scenario is just to sit down, refuse to take part in the instance and wait to be kicked or get a free bonus when I come back to my chair in 30 minutes. Is that better for everyone?

To me, this is something a pouting child would do. Sit down right where they stand, cross there arms, and refuse to cooperate. But hey, if that's the best solution in your mind, who am I to stop you. I just hope whomever you are with in the dungeon reports you. You know, if/when you decide to start this.

OK. It's pretty clear that lots of you do not agree with this proposal, which is fair enough, so i'll just put my last thoughts here now for you to ponder and leave it there.

The duty finder is, right now, an open system for the most part. There is a very lenient ilvl requirement for certain content, but that's pretty much it. You can enter a trial without any prior knowledge or experience. That is your freedom do to so in the system that is currently in place. (For the record I believe that the vote kick abuse going on right now is wrong, and that vote-kick should also be removed for the same reason, to ensure the DF is open and fair to all)

In my personal opinion, if you have that freedom to enter a dungeon or trial without knowledge or experience, then I should in turn not be obligated to teach you how to complete said content (although I personally will if it seems like it will help). I also feel I shouldn't be punished for leaving the instance if I feel that, for whatever reason, it isn't going to work. That is, in my personal opinion, a completely open and fair system. No solution comes without problems, but I do believe that no matter what restrictions are put in place, that players will find a way to exploit them. Better to live and let live. That is all! ^ ^
