And...there isn't too many. If there was "too many" it wouldn't be a game anymore. There are restrictions in place for a lot of things, and it's for one reason: human nature. SE knows how people can be, so they try to cut down on negative behavior as best they can. Sometimes we don't like their methods, but they put such things in place to keep a balance of sorts.

While I cannot give a specific date on when personal housing will be implemented, I can say that prices will be completely separate from free company housing, and, naturally, far more affordable.

Well, yeah, obviously SE has the best interests of the community when implementing these methods. If you read my original post in full though, you will say I make the observation that the now dated method of blanket lockouts doesn't line up with SE's more recent stance to not get involved in party politics and such.

Trying to 'cut down on negative behaviour', as you put it, by forcing someone to remain in a dungeon when they no longer want to be (for whatever reason) is not the most effective method. Allowing them to leave and the party to get a replacement will usually yield better results.

Oh, I read it. But there's a difference here. Initially, their vote to kick feature was a bit too vague as to what people can be kicked/can kick others for. So they made their stance on this known by pretty much saying "some people need to sort this crap with cutscenes and such out on their own, we have bigger fish to fry." The lockout restrictions and vote to kick options are 2 completely separate issues, which means...2 different stances.
