I'ts not like gear in any dungeon is better than token gear anyway so I don't see the problem

I HAVE noticed a correlation between...
people who need their first clears (achievement)
and
the drops that actually show up.
As in, we bring a tank into a fight who needs the clear, and a tank piece drops.
I've experienced this more than enough times to believe it is more than just correlation, but who knows. That doesn't mean this person GETS the drop, but they are more likely to see a drop they need for their first clear, in my experience. This 'rule' in my mind only seems to apply when one specific person needs the clear and no one else -- because otherwise a pattern wouldn't be as obvious. There was one tank who joined my FC and needed his extreme clears. We brought him through Garuda > Ifrit and a tank piece dropped every time. Then we took him through his first T5 clear back before the "Second Coil" patch... and his tank item dropped. He is a good/nice player so I didn't mind this at all... was actually quite happy for him, but it still amazed me how lucky he was.
If I join a trials roulette as lvl 99 full of other players that are doing hm primal for first time then either the healer who was healing/resurrecting new players whole game or any other of highest level/experience players who had to carry others through will get loot for his/her class to drop at the end.
If I join group full of people at same item level then the one who performed best will have the loot drop.
If you want to get loot you have 2 options:
1) join group with lower level/inexperienced players and help them out - loot guaranteed in the end
2) get good to be able to compete for loot with other good players
If you "join the fight where others suck but they still get all the loot" you might have overvaluated your own skills.

It is quite sad see threads of who thinks the world must be divided between winners and losers, winners deserve anything, and losers nothing.
What really is disturbing, are threads as your one.
Maybe it can be a news to you, but when playing with PUGs, can happen everything. Everything, understand?
It is impossible play in a way you will never have such experiences, but a good method to deal with it, is not using PUGs (aka DF), but instead play with well known players you trust. This will minimize by a great number, the possibility you again face that your disturbing things.
I am sure you will not change your attitude easily, so just take this as a friendly suggestion.
only jerks do loot reserve, half of those few who do loot reserve in my server happened to be in my blacklist for various reasons which proves the theory true
SE demonstrated this kind of situation is completely okay and should be tolerated

Good loot isn't an indication of good playing. I've seen multiple healers with Second Coil gear in Leviathan and they cannot heal it at all.
I wish Primals would drop more loot, the EX Primals are a better estimation of player ability than Coils.
