Why I find FF14 enjoyable

Fates are fun...for awhile. That novelty will wear off. :P Otherwise I agree, this game is awesome.

It's like any piece of content, I find. A cool dungeon can get stale if you do it constantly over and over. So I don't think there's anything wrong with the Fate system. GuildWars 2 has something similar but, for some reason, I never got the same amount of satisfaction completing them.

I don't know how it's like with Leves once you start playing with a secondary class, though... I could foresee waiting and hunting down Fates being a chore.

Yeah, good point. At launch the only reasonable way to level another class was mostly with Fate groups. I suppose burning myself out on them was my own fault, but I also wanted to level another class at the time. They have also been prevalent in the relic quests so far, which probably contributes to how I feel about them. Granted, the fates for the books weren't too bad, I'm just not a fan. The entire system is decent, though. To me however, it's kind of the whole "too much of a good thing" concept. Others feel differently, which I respect.

In reply to this: you only have your PLD 45. Wait until you decide to get all 18 other classes (19 soon) to max, the which battle class will make you do fates until you will go even higher than the achievement of 3000 fates.

So kudos, you are a casual playing for the fun of it, and with the time investment, you will always have something new to discover, hence you should never be bored. /clap

I just started gathering again, and I find it more relaxing than fishing, imagine ^^

Everyone should stick with what they find they love, and then pace it so not to get bored.
