poor support -_- on stolen gill through the market board

has anyone else had trouble dealing with support? I recently had 600,000 gill stolen from my account do to someone hacking the market boards. I was trying to buy a stack of copper ore for around 5k. After i received the copper i checked my funds and noticed that i was missing 600,000. When i tried to talk to support they told me to post it on the bug section of the forums, and said they wouldn't do anything else for me. I then sent them another letter asking them if this was really the best they could do for me, they then thanked me for my suggestions, which i didn't give any, and stated that they were always trying to make the experience better.... Seriously i wasn't looking for a hand out and i don't feel i was being unreasonable in asking for them to find where the stolen money went and transfer it back to me. what is the point of having support if you don't actually support the people asking for help? Anyway this is my horror story feel free to share yours.

Screenshots of the support reply would probably help to get the entire picture. What details you gave to them etc.

I think I recall this sort of thing happening back at launch but slightly different, I cant remember the details but there was a short (very short) period where just viewing an item forced you to buy it/took it's price from your funds. Havent heard of it for a long time so you'd think it had been fixed. It sounds a little hard to believe honestly. Are you sure you didnt accidentally buy a stack where the individual ore price was 5k each? You might want to take a screenshot of the purchase history.

Basically if you were in range of the Board you were vulnerable, purchases were being made via script without people even having to go to the board. Was fixed very quickly.

Exactly this, OP did you take screenshots of the purchase history after your money went missing? I'm not meaning to cast doubt on you, but without supporting evidence of what actually happened in game, this is just a story. Is there anything unexpected in your inventory?

99 x 5,000 = 450,000
450,000 + 5% Taxes = 472,500

We're nearing 600,000 given some room for exaggeration or forgetful spending, etc.

I just checked your server for Copper Ore and your name is no where in sight.. So unless you were on a different character, before June 23rd (I'm a bit sceptic on this if it is before), and/or different server; you are clear making this up.

It happened to me on Sunday and i've been back and forth with support since then. I bought a bunch of ore from someone with a retainer in ul'dah, and if i had known you could see a list of the recent transactions i would have caught that >_<, and no it wasn't selling for 5k each it was around 5k total. usually i gather all my own mats for crafting but i was trying to save time so i could sit out in the middle of nowhere and wait for hours for a fate to spawn in southern thanalan for my brave book. Any way i thought support would have the ability to track my market transactions and see where my money went but alas it seems like they are not very interested in helping me. So i guess my point is to be weary of the market board as it seems like it still has some glitches that people are exploiting
