Tank disrespect.

I have seen a tank with level 100 gear in Brayflox hm who pulled mobs in packs of 3 and still coudn't hold aggro even for 1 mob. And the tank was the one giving advice to others to change class. Seriously, I was speechless.

Not everyone is a winner, not everyone is going to be good enough to play every class. Some players just don't have the capacity to excel at certain jobs and no amount of training or "help" is going to get them to the level they need to be at.

We are speaking here about normal dungeons, not the hardest end game instances, so you can expect practically any player to reach an adequate play performance in any class or job, with practice and a will to learn. You can't expect people to do things right at the first try.

ALL my points are to strenght...yeah none in Vit...considering in splitting some with that part. I cant keep aggro at all. War I have no problems whatsoever, GLAD since I am not yet 30..just impossible..unless the guys are at my level which is rare to get a low level with only same level. So saying that someone that cant keep aggro is a bad tank is not accurate...in my opinion and experience, at least not with a GLAD.

BINGO. So long as someone is trying and improving. Not everyone here has played another MMO. I had a WoW account for years, but my kids played and it bored the heck out of me. I played earlier versions of FF that were just plain awful.This is the first MMO that I enjoy so much, I play it every day. I'm learning so many things through reading specs and stats, and of course from the great folks on this forum. Had it not been for a tank in my free company who was willing to listen me say, "Wass that? Wass that?" hundreds of times like a two year old, I don't think I'd be playing now. This game's continued success comes from the cash they generate from monthly revenue of players who continue to play. Being a jerk to people won't keep them around. It's true that not everyone should get a trophy and that not everyone is great at stuff. There will be individuals that won't put in effort. But they will weed themselves out. The people who keep trying will keep getting better.

Unfortunately iLvl is not a good indicator of skill or even basic comprehension. I still run into WHM in 90+ gear with Zenith's or Atma's that have to be told not to cast regen during a pull and say they don't understand how agro works in this game because its "really complicated".

I'm currently playing through the game again with an alt character on gld and have no problems holding hate. If your still having problems even with str accs and str stats you need to reevaluate your tanking strategies because you're probably missing something.

I have been asking this over and over and I have yet to have someone help me in identifying what it is that I am missing, as I said all I got for an answer was that there was nothign I could do until I get shield oath....and this has been told to me repeatedly...by different groups in diffent dungeons over the various levels.

how does that make me bad then ?

my point being that all those that call others *bad* should be more moderate in how they see others since they dont know what is happening truely with the one they see as bad..and call as such and berate as such..

As a DD I sometimes pull hate on a mob from the group pull and then have to tank it.
No biggie, I'm a big girl and can take a hit or four.
Often I tell the tank at the start of the run not to worry if I pull one away once in a while. ♥

Thank you! This has been how I've felt as both a tank and DD! Doesn't mean the tank isn't doing his job right, it means I am/my teammate is stepping up and helping out. You know, like teammates are supposed to. Often times as a DD, I'll pull aggro on something if I see it going for the healer, if only to give the tank one less thing to divide his attention to.

I think the worst kind of "tank" for me are well bots.
You know the kind who come in,attack 1 guy only, using only 1 attack over and over and are completely unresponsive?
If I see someone who's not a bot acting like that, then how can you respect them? :S

Though I think once you've played every class (tank/healer/DPS) it really gives you an understanding of how things work and you find better ways to "help out" the team if something goes wrong.

Are you doing something like this? shield lob>flash x3>roh combo>flash>riot blade combo>flash>roh combo>flash>repeat Sometimes I'll even flash 2x between combo's pre 40. That said if someone tries to pull aoe aggro from me or single targets something I"m not on they still can.
