    FFXIV categories all the jobs by DPS, Tank, and Healer. It doesn't matter how many DPS jobs exist the game will select a certain number of DPS out of the group of many DPS that exists (no matter what DPS job it is).

    I guess many people come from WoW are concerned about the number of DPS/jobs in this game.

    In FFXI there was a majority of DPS jobs, if you wanted fast invites you would roll on a tank or healer job. However the majority of people who played enjoyed DPS jobs and would wait for a invites to party no matter what. DPS jobs are more appealing to the majority of players.

    There is no way to force more people to play Tank and healer instead of DPS, even if there are only 2 DPS jobs and 8 of each healer and tank job choices to choose from.

    Adding more raids might sound like a solution. But if you look at the current trend in FFXIV you will think otherwise.

    Players choose a raid out of a number of raids available and will only run the raid that gives them the biggest reward in the shortest amount of time. So adding more raids will not stop players from doing this.
