How do I do that though? When people vote I don't know who participated and who agreed for that to happen...I only saw the "you have been dismissed" message.
SE already gave their blessing to kick players out for watching cutscenes.Although we understand the impact that is caused after being removed from a duty finder group, please be aware that Game Masters will be unable to take action if a group member has been removed due to a player dispute, or if their game style differs (i.e. skipping in-game cutscenes, disagreement on using specific boss encounter tactics etc).
To avoid such incidents in the future, we would advise to speak with either the group leader or fellow party members when joining a new group to discuss any specific party restrictions that need to be addressed (i.e. any loot priorities, allowing group members to watch cutscenes etc).
you will not be punished if you kick someone because he was watching the cutscene and you didnt want him to. SE doesnt enter into question they believe it is a matter of the group and if group decides they dont want you, according to SE though not say EXPLICITLY this way, they can.
What they cant though is kick you WHILE loot is still rolling...welcome to *fake* rules.

oh this again. Seriously, don't do the main scenario roulette if you can't wait that extra bit of time. There are FAR more efficient ways to get myth. it's a ROULETTE. By definition you aren't going to be certain what you're getting and that includes those folks who may want to watch cutscenes.I really found SE's response to the vote-kick feature as ignoring the issue, especially when it comes to roulettes.
Server: Sargatanas || Main Job: Scholar || Chocobo: Bonchon
Wow... that sucks. ; ;
I guess all we can hope is that SE will add "Please use the PF to indicate you want to watch cut scenes in this dungeon or ask your friends and Free Company to go with you" instead of "Use the DF to enter this dungeon." :/
Wow they kicked you because you are watching the cut scenes? Usually you just do the fights with 7 or 6 guys and let the newbies watch the story.
Edit:
There aren't any more efficient ways for solo players.oh this again. Seriously, don't do the main scenario roulette if you can't wait that extra bit of time. There are FAR more efficient ways to get myth. it's a ROULETTE. lol @ "this needs to be stopped immediately", it's not exactly a new thing.
There is a good chance most of the 7 other people who joined you when you queued up for the dungeon were doing their "duty roulette", a system in place so that high level players continue to partake in low level content. In the case of story dungeons it means latecomers like yourself don't have to que for days on end get through it.
Joining an MMO and expecting PUGs to watch cutscenes for year old content is pretty naive. There is also a "party finder" system that allows you to recruit your own party on your server and stipulate your own conditions (such as don't skip cutscenes), but to be fair on you the game doesn't really highlight that as an option for you when you are playing through the main story.
In any case, I will agree that you should not have been kicked but the vote kick system is pretty contentious in general at present.

Maybe you'd be happier if there was no bonus for CM/Prae, so no one would run them like it used to be with Westwind.
Why you ignored him? If you'd express your matters at the start of the run you'd avoid "being abused"... Since you'd either decide to leave due to clashing interests or have one side alter itself to another.
Your mistake is ignoring and not communicating with the party.
"Viewing Cutscene" can also mean you're AFK, especially if you're silent and ignoring everyone.
They should just remove the rewards and the story roulette, most SRs already tell the firstimers to use PF, so this would leave DF for firstimers doing the story and ppl whiling to help.
Could you please stop this? i don't know what are your intentions but that's a lie, the FFXI community WAS the best online community, where i have only found 2 trolls in my 8 years there, you and more ppl like you is promoting this stupid hate against FFXI and it's community that has nothing to do with ffxiv, i konw it's ironic, but stay on topic and leave your hate out.
This is not a troll bait so you don't need to respond, just edit your post and i'll edit mine.
