Dude I love that idea. A Cameo with any of those characters or even the music would be amazing.
But, I've noticed some people don't always like that kinda thing. People were mad about the Lightning Fates.
Which I think is dumb. You wanna argue about "lore" in a "fantasy" game. Cmon.

Whilst CT is an amazing game, I honestly dont think Chrono Cross gets nearly enough love as it deserves. Would love to see a continuation maybe in the form of Schala/Kid searching to be reunited with Serge, sort of like FFX2.

But back to the point, yes CT crossover would be cool

Except that he tried that and had his memory erased and wound up in a forest. Plus Cross already completed Schala's story in the end.

They could make the next big raid The Black Omen.

The Black Omen was once the Ocean Palace that was destroyed by Lavos. In the alternate time-line it was transformed into a flying arcology, a temple infused with the near-infinite power of Lavos by using the Mammon Machine. With this being said, I'm sure it can easily pop up hovering above Eorzea with awesome gear from Chrono Trigger.

As amazing as CT is it is completely unrelated to Final Fantasy, so don't hold your breath

Er... Actually... not exactly. While I admit the Franchise Chrono Trigger is unrelated to the Final Fantasy series, the concept of Time Travel, and Time Paradoxes is not unknown to the Final Fantasy series.

In fact Final Fantasy I, Final Fantasy II, Final Fantasy VIII, and Final Fantasy XI (and that is just the main series) all featured Time Travel in their story lines. Including Grandfather Paradoxes such as the one that appears in the first major story arch of ChronoTrigger. Though the plot of the ChronoTrigger Grandfather Paradox is handled differently to the Grandfather Paradoxes in the Final Fantasy Series.

All that said, including ChronoTrigger in an event similar to Lightning Strikes would not be the first time that a non-Final Fantasy Game was featured in such an event for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. Or do I need to remind you all how we got the Wind-Up Brickman Minion which is a reference to the Dragon Quest series?
