Er... Actually... not exactly. While I admit the Franchise Chrono Trigger is unrelated to the Final Fantasy series, the concept of Time Travel, and Time Paradoxes is not unknown to the Final Fantasy series.
In fact Final Fantasy I, Final Fantasy II, Final Fantasy VIII, and Final Fantasy XI (and that is just the main series) all featured Time Travel in their story lines. Including Grandfather Paradoxes such as the one that appears in the first major story arch of ChronoTrigger. Though the plot of the ChronoTrigger Grandfather Paradox is handled differently to the Grandfather Paradoxes in the Final Fantasy Series.
All that said, including ChronoTrigger in an event similar to Lightning Strikes would not be the first time that a non-Final Fantasy Game was featured in such an event for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. Or do I need to remind you all how we got the Wind-Up Brickman Minion which is a reference to the Dragon Quest series?
~ Eternal Dawn FC ~ Male Player ~
So was dragon quest and this popped in FFXI also and FFXIV.
I mean square-enix the company could add stuff for a limited amount of time and work it in the story shouldn't hurt the game but make it more enjoyable.
I mean check it out, if final fantasy tactics characters popped in disgaea game I would be excited, that's what cross overs do.
Plus chrono trigger works, using the time machine to warp to this world would work.

Unless they make a new Chrono game that they need to advertise, never gonna happen.
And while we're on the subject: SE, please make another Chrono game.

I want a Mana game first.
And not like those terrible reboot attempts from 2 generations ago where yall just took some cheap mechanics and slapped on a coat of Mana paint.
Oh, and side note. Why the hell is Square refusing to release more Dragon Quest here? It's pretty popular as far as JRPGs in the west go and Nintendo has offered to do localization.

Yeah Release that Chrono break ggame allready which has been licensed forever ago.
But.... unless we get a chance to travel back in time to before Bahamut, there nevere will be anything like it.
And I still have that nagging feeling that our eorzea is the "abyssea" version of old eorzea. where things went wrong, that didnt go wrong in the other eorzea.
So maybe look forward to Chrono Cross rather than Chrono trigger (those mirror knights do resemble certain mobs in Chrono Cross)

I wouldn't mind a Spekkio minion.
I LIKE the fence. I get 2 groups to laugh at then.
