I've been trying to transfer for months and it's driving me insane.

Hey all. I'm a returning 1.0 player trying to transfer from Masamune to Leviathan.

I'm logged out in the Gridania Inn.
I've connected to Leviathan (but not made a character there).
I have no retainers and when I go to hire one I have to customize a new one, which I have not done.
I have no items for sale or with the calamity guy.
I'm not part of a FC.
I own an LS but I don't think that matters. I also cant figure out how to delete it.

What am I doing wrong?

Soooo, are you getting some sort of error when you apply for transfer, or...?

Also, to destroy a linkshell, go the person who issues new linkshells (there's one in each city)

The image you posted says you have to rehire your retainers.

Rehire only counts if you had some from 1.0, which she said she doesn't as she has to make a brand new one.

Looks like the only issue is that LS hanging you up.

Leviathan is closed to new characters and transfers at the moment since it's full.

You can wait until it's quiet and then transfer. My guess is that's it's a legacy server and your former home? Consider going to a less populated server but still with enough people.

He never said he didn't have any in 1.0, he said he has none now. Also when you rehire a 1.0 retainer, the customization is the same as if you were hiring a new one. It's the same process.

Everyone from 1.0 had to recustomize their retainers so maybe they just forgot? I doubt they had any serious investment in a 1.0 character without a retainer, otherwise they would just make a new one.

OH, I didn't realize you got to customize them like new ones. I was under the impression that it is permanant.

.... and I was welcome to make a transfer to Balmung, which is also full. The actual transfer of data just takes more time that way. The character creation lock is just that the server is full of players currently logged in. Even the packed servers will open up at the off hours, which is like, 4AM range for busy legacy servers like Balmung and Sarg.
