How much do you think a personal house will/should cost?

So Yoshi released a figure yesterday for personal FC rooms. 300K per person, and you get a room slightly bigger than a small house floor for that.

This also sounds like he's satisfied that all of the servers have equalized on the economy since there's no differences between the different worlds.

What then would be a sensible pricing scheme for personal houses? It sounds like you'll get the same features with a FC room but with gardening/outdoor furniture as well.

I'm not sure whether all of the personal houses will be the same size as an FC small house or whether they'll be different sizes but if we assume they're the same size and choice range as FC houses what would be a good or reasonable estimate for them?

Naturally we could all be way off, and we won't find out the prices until the patch notes come for it just before it gets added so this is just for fun speculative purposes.

I'll start by saying 3M for a small house, 5M for medium, 8M for a large.

Yep, i'd be happy paying a few mill for personal housing. Give me massive customisation rights with it, a garden etc and i'll be happy. or the option to have my chocobo stable there also.

Do we have an idea if all housing is the same size? If it is one size for all, then 2~3mil sounds fair. If it is split like we have FC housing the breakdown should be something like we have now. 1~2mil for small, 4~5mil for medium, and anywhere from 10+mil for large.

However like I said it should be a really low amount if the size is static.

3mil for a small seems unfair, seeing as its going to be smaller than a FC small house and would be priced at the same? has to be lower.

I don't think the smallest personal house would cost more than a small FC house at its lowest (about ~1.8mil).

they may start high like fc housing with gradual decreases to a lower level.

this way they can make some of the richer characters a bit poorer for a few days...lol

I think 2 for small 5 for medium 10 for large seems fair if they have multiple sizes.

Yoshi P actually announced this but price is still up in the air. Personal housing won't be out til about patch 3.8 (might be earlier but that is their take on it) and will cost players around 800,000G
Also it's unclear if it will be an instanced area or if it will be an actual house where you have a garden. It might just be like personal FC rooms (aka mog houses in XI) where it's just an instanced area you go into that is the inside of your house. No large, medium, small diff just everyone same size house and all same price value.

Hmm patch 3.8 eh? Well Ive been playing for about a month now, and have just over 300k, so I should be good to go hopefully once they launch

I’d say somewhere around 100 million gil will be justifiable. Make periodic price drops so that eventually a few more can afford it.

Obviously the prices should be extremely high because it has to be something that can only be enjoyed by the elite few who know how to work the market and have a FC that can farm for rare loot on a daily bases. It can’t be something that everyone can enjoy; they can’t just buy it immediately, they have to work very hard for it. Join a FC, Craft for the market, and sell rare loot needed for relic weapons.

Basically start playing the game like how people think it was meant to be played. The 90+ days spent grinding will be well worth it.

Personally, I just hope personal housing is instanced, like they did in FFXI. I would much prefer not fighting with other players over specific plots of land.

Maybe one of the side paths in the current FC districts that goes no where (West road in Mist for example) has an NPC that allows you to goto your personal residence.
Also allowing you to visit houses of people on your friend list would be ideal.

Since it should not expansive than a FC house or cheaper than a personal room, it will be very difficult to set an appropriate price.
Maybe they will make personal houses for rent only... ^^;
