How much do you think a personal house will/should cost?

i think the houses will be cheaper and smaller than the houses that the FCs can buy, cuz if you think about it, a small house for a single person shouldnt cost more than a small house that a FC can buy because with a FC technically speaking they should help the leader buy a house by giving money, thats why it is expensive, because its a GROUP buying a house and because its a GROUP buying the house, the house should be big enough for a GROUP to live in. As a SOLO player buying your OWN house with no one helping you to buy it, the price should be fair for a SINGLE person to pay, and like a hotel room, it should be a house the is big enough for a SINGLE person to live in.

Yoshi P actually announced this but price is still up in the air. Personal housing won't be out til about patch 3.8 (might be earlier but that is their take on it) and will cost players around 800,000G
Also it's unclear if it will be an instanced area or if it will be an actual house where you have a garden. It might just be like personal FC rooms (aka mog houses in XI) where it's just an instanced area you go into that is the inside of your house. No large, medium, small diff just everyone same size house and all same price value.

And they thought about about 800k for housing.

Well with no special drop housing items going for 40k-60k even with market crashes on balmung I imagine on my server will not be much cheaper then FC housing is now when released if they have a value reassessment like they do in the FC area.

Personally, I just hope personal housing is instanced, like they did in FFXI. I would much prefer not fighting with other players over specific plots of land.

Maybe one of the side paths in the current FC districts that goes no where (West road in Mist for example) has an NPC that allows you to goto your personal residence.
Also allowing you to visit houses of people on your friend list would be ideal.

So long as it still have neighborhoods to wander around in, I'm all for it. I find it oddly fun to wander around and see how each guild presents itself, I'd imagine the individual player could do something neat as well.

Anything over 1m for any personal house is ludicrous. Why should anyone bother if there FC has a house already and personal rooms is turned on???

I just hope if it's done the same way as FC housing that they put enough wards in for everyone or they'll fill up on day one of release and there will be a lot of people homeless.

On Legacy, we'll most likely have ridiculous prices like:

• Large plot: 40M
• Medium plot: 20M
• Small plot: 10M

AND! To top it off, 95% of the plots will be gone in the first few hours. Leaving the rest of the non-botting/radaring/etc. players in the dust.

Botting/radaring is such a rage and it even seems to be silently approved by SE (to catch RMT) even though they claim the opposite.
(Edit: RMT -> people get banned; radaring/botting -> I'm still seeing them doing it after months)


In all seriousness, I sincerely hope we'll have enough plots for everyone. I personally would like a large one for once, even though it will take me some time.

had 3 or 4 players actually banned over the last couple of weeks who purchased houses for themselves using RMT. Before you start saying that they approve it maybe you should re-read the TOS, ah who am i kidding, actually READ the TOS. They do do everything in their power to stop it. You try being one person monitoring 100,000 thats what it can be like at times for the people who look over these cases.

and i dont see why it shouldnt be 1mil+, with a little time and effort you can easily make that over 10 days.
