How much do you think a personal house will/should cost?

Small: 2.000.000 gil.
Medium: 5.000.000 gil.
Large: 10.000.000 gil.

I say those are conservative prices, from SE, this is the minimum you can expect. I wouldn`t be surprised if small ones started higher than small FC houses.

Personally I think housing should be cheaper than that, I don't think its fair you have to buy a 3 mil house then you can purchase a 300000 room. That's way too expensive and from what I here they aren't that big anyways. Whats a good way to make money in the game besides crafting?

Yoshi P actually announced this but price is still up in the air. Personal housing won't be out til about patch 3.8 (might be earlier but that is their take on it) and will cost players around 800,000G
Also it's unclear if it will be an instanced area or if it will be an actual house where you have a garden. It might just be like personal FC rooms (aka mog houses in XI) where it's just an instanced area you go into that is the inside of your house. No large, medium, small diff just everyone same size house and all same price value.

I don't have 800k yet, but it wont be much longer especially now that I finally got one of my crafters to 50.

I think the personal housing should cost less than 300k since the personal room in fc housing is 300k. Something for yourself shouldn't be that much.

I expect it will be expensive, with small houses sitting around 1 mil+, but I hope it's not that bad.
I just bankrupted myself trying to meld my crafting gear (trying being the operative word) and I don't foresee myself hitting 1 mil again anytime soon. :-(

Of course I also have a feeling there'll be inactivity limits on personal housing as there are with FC houses, in which case, screw it... They can charge whatever they want. >_>

I have seen online thats its 800,000 gil. Thats ALOT of money to shell out for ONE small house. I hope the reward that it brings is worth paying that MUCH. Somethings that are more than cosmetic/lookings! Not many have that much and thats VERY expensive.

An FC shells out 2-5M for a small house as a communal property. A personal room the size of a small house's floor is 300k. Not sure why people expect single player housing to be on the low end between the two.

And the reward of personal housing is having a garden to work on yourself, being able to play house (don't knock it until you've tried it, I've seen a lot of people do a 180-turn from the "housing is useless and boring" mentality to pro interior decorator), and who knows what will be added down the line. Even if it's in the 1-2M range, that's feasible for the average player if they put their mind to it. Spiritbinding, myth grinding, crafting, or even just being diligent with roulettes and other gil fountains - there are many ways to earn gil and save up.
