Tick tock I'm getting antsy waiting for the patch to drop.

This game is as good as dead if it is not mindblowingly amazing at 1.18. Most people I know who played, even some of which were white knights defending the game with every one of the dumbest excuses in the book, have quit playing and many of which do not even care to hear its name anymore or any news of what's coming.

There will be the unfortunate bunch that will stick around ranting about how people just have to be patient and saying "it'll get better it'll get better" but those are the same people who have been saying it since closed beta which was earlier last year.

Although there have been some minor and fairly enjoyable improvements since beta, there has been absolutely nothing which has even hinted in the slightest about this game being placed back on the charts. Prepare to sing your elegies for if 1.18 bombs.

Or go to an ugly ass low graphic game designed in 5 year old cartoon style like WoW.
The game is not bad at all.
I played/tested WoW for a month and it's not even close to being as fun like FFXIV.
It's fun now and it only gets better every single month.

WoW is great fun for about 20 or so levels... then it is boring as all get out if you do not like solo questing.

Dungeons are way too shallow to get into so that form of group playing does not cut it either.

PvP sucks unless you like PvP.

I have to honestly agree with him... Atm I have more fun on FFXIV then WoW, just like I had more fun on XI then WoW. It all comes down to what you like Solo based game or a Group based game. For me and many others the forced solo game play and over simplification of WoW negates all the stuff that is there.

All it takes is for SE to give us one really good feature. Something that is well thought out and actually fun to do, then I'm sure people will come back even if the game isn't even half-finished. They just need to show us some kind of confirmation that they still know how to make a great MMO.

I agree with you sir, i'm one of those FF die-hard fan and i keep defending this game...but this endless delay for every patch is really irritating...i mean, can we get something more than "We'll look into it" ?

I actually can't wait until 1.8 so that I can have fun leveling again (because I honestly think it will be once that nasty stamina gauge goes away)
