I'm playing from Australia on Faerie a NA server and can dodge titan 99.5% of the time so people blaming lag must be using a shoelace to connect their console/PC to the internet or something.
So can I, and I don't even know the fight well. Problem is, when I inevitably do get a lagspike at an unlucky moment (right before landslide for example), there's a chance I can't dodge it anymore, and people immediately like to call you bad/noob/whatever because of that.
Yes, lag is often blamed even when it's not the cause of a death/wipe, but lag does exist. Just because you don't have it doesn't mean anything.
On top of that, people doing Titan using DF are often those haven't run it before, or only run it when absolutely needed. They won't be perfect, and you shouldn't expect them to be.
This is exactly the first thing everyone should try. WTFast and Battleping have free trials, which are very very nice to see if they can help you before even paying a single cent. For my friends, who are based in Singapore, it's server lag. They're still stuck on Titan Ex and I've done told and told them to use latency reducing services, like Battleping and such.
I'm based in Melbourne, Aus and if it wasn't for Battleping, I wouldn't have been able to clear Titan or tackle any of the harder instances. Tell your friends (if they're on PC) to try Battleping, WTfast or any of the latency-reducing services. Without exaggerating, it cuts down 1/3 of the latency.
I should add as well, it depends on your service provider - ours is good and we sit a reasonable distance from our exchange, so we hardly ever get any drops.
If these services work for you, then it means that you have a poor route to the servers. The further away from you a server is the higher the chances the route taken to it is poor and this all really depends on your carrier's contracts to route traffic (your ISP). WTFast and Battleping change the way you connect to the destination by providing an alternate connection route which, at times, improves latency.
These services have never done anything for me and in fact many times they make it slightly worse, which implies that my route to the destination is already as good as it gets and my latency comes from somewhere else.
Finally, I keep saying it, but disable your freaking Naggle algorythm. The difference this makes is notorious.
I'm pretty sure many people that complain about their lag either have not even bothered trying to find the source of the problem or...

I have asked my provider as to why I had this server lag problem, something that is not visible for me, but is for the others, their answer was that nothing wrong with them and me. Nothing wrong with it and working as intended. I tried with a WFast and various others latency programs to see if this would disappear, nothing worked, nothing changed.
It is a stated fact that some people, from what I see, more then I thought actually, have this problem, so chances are that on the mass of those that say are having issues, a good part of those are effectively having those issues.
Why is it so difficult for people to actually imagine that other things happen that they have not yet experienced ?..might be due to age...but this time to young age...
That is incredible it sounds amost as if all those that say are having issues made a cospiracy against the others to forbid them to play and annoy them on purpose. You really think we do not want to play as well and not have to face those death...you dont believe that dying 100x to finish Titan HM isnt bad enough ? so we are asking for more ? nobody is that dumb...but we want to play so we put up with it and move on..or stop doing primals from HM onwards lol

I don't know what it is about the SE fanbase, but there's a definite disconnect between reality and fantasy. In a perfect world, everyone would be 2 hops from the server and never experience any latency at all. We don't live in a perfect world and it actually IS SE's responsibility to code for REALITY. No other game has threads like this or complaints like this. Blizzard has the usual complaints about hard content, but no 15 page threads of half the people saying "there's something wrong with my ability to dodge". Not the widespread complaints of lag in dungeons. Last night when doing my usual daily routine three different people asked for others to be patient because of their "lag".
Yes, there is some degree of people struggling to complete content because of reasons other than lag, but that doesn't mean that the lag doesn't exist and shouldn't be addressed. Even XI never had complain threads that people couldn't complete content because of "lag". Hard? Oh the QQ was beautiful. Lag? I can't remember even one thread in my 10 years on alla forums where this amount of people complained of lag.
I don't understand. So you have the producer that can dodge as the god he is. Then he changes of place and is no longer able to, not so goddy in fact. So basically, the same player performs differently but sure it is the palyer's skill that changed. Can we agree that there are potentially technical problems that are out of the control, i.e. skill, of some players? Call it "lag" or "unidentified problem" if you want but out of the control of the player. Sure not all of them, those who are lucky that don't have this "unidentified problem", but some have.
And by the way, she/he signs if she/he wants to. It does not hinder your ability to understand what she/he is writing, right?
