My speculation:

Rogue > Ninja

Pirate/Musketeer

Musketeer guild is in limsa, a city full of "ex"-pirates so yeah, i think it would fit.

Also last year in the E3 only Arcanist and Summoner where announced and a little later came scholar.
If they do the same we could potentionally see Rogue having 2 jobs like the Arcanist did.

But thisnis just me hoping.

Musketeer's(musket users)>rifle/pistol/dual pistols(evidence musketeer guild and guns) i.e. Gun class
Never has ffxiv armory system just thrown a different weapon on a class for a job. Arcanist>smn/sch all use a type of book.

You are right about that and yet.

Arcanist and Summoner use the same type of book but not the Scholar.
Scholar books are unique to only Scholars.

You see what I mean?
Rogue is a "dual wield" class like it's Job Ninja and Musketeer "might" be dagger/sword x Gun or dual Guns like you said.

That would place Rogue class in the same position as Arcanist, they both would have a Job that uses unique weapon not usable by any other class/job.

Also Yoshi P did say that the Gun class/job won't be as people expect it to be.
