from what yoshi-p said there is a lot of things that will be introduced for the expansion such as a tank and healer class and when people asked about musketeer he openly said "why are you asking questions we haven't reversed* i think we need to wait til october for the fanfest where i think we will see 3 new classes

They said thief's evolved into Rogue, so if there is a 2nd job off Rogue its not thief.

Like how BLM nearly disappeared? Or like how Warrior had only one left? Or like how WHM has very few left after a whole civilization failed?

Right because "they used to exist but not anymore" has stopped any of the other jobs? -_-

If Musketeer branches off Rouge, Then what would be up with all the Rogue skills?
Did you guys see the video? It's kicks, poison, slashes and fan daggers.
Would a Musketeer slash with guns or use poison? That doesn't make sense to me.
Someone mentioned "They could change / redo basic class skills for a secondary job".
But honestly i don't see that happening, why not just have it's own class then.

So I don't really think Rogue would branch into Musketeer.

But unlike the Jobs we have now, Thief is... well, it's not exactly a "lost art." Anyone can Steal. Heck, I'm pretty sure a few quests in the game had us "stealing" something of some sorts from the whoever people.

"Rumors about the Musketeer class were swirling around before Rougue was announced. We asked why it's not Musketeer. Yoshida explained that they wanted a class with stealth ability, and most importantly, it's because of the implement of new PvP content and the developer wanted to make sure that something new will be brought in. So Rogue will have its own way of participating in PvP and he will have unique tactics as well. So now, as Yoshida said, they want to start with Rogue instead of a class with guns which will be similar to mage class that uses magic, but he mentioned they did have the plan to introduce in new class with guns or sort of stuff. And speaking of how stealth will work in PvP, Yoshida said it's a secret at the moment."
