Lvl 50 Arcanist is it wrong?

Hello everyone OK so here the thing i will join a dungeon and almost instantly everyone turns and says / types (You're not a Summoner?) And i have to say no i like DPS'ing as an Arcanist i like the debuffs. Now i am a Scholar and i like playing as one but i don't really care to be a Summoner. No disrespect to the class i just don't want to play as one. I feel if they didn't want you to play as a lvl 50 Arcanist the game wouldn't give you lvl 50 Arcanist abilities.

So i ask should i drop the class i love to DPS as and become a Summoner? Or do you guys / gals know anyone that rocks as a plan ol Arcanist let me know guys. And please be nice I'm just asking.

When you decided to queue as a Arcanist, you piss away intelligence. You piss away pet damage. You piss away three very powerful moves.

Basically, every time you go in as a Arcanist, you nerf yourself and your party.

By all means, if you like playing as Arcanist, do so. But don't be surprised when people get pissed at you. They have every right to be angry that they're getting chained to someone who's voluntarily reducing all their effectiveness.

I have purposely stayed as an archer in some instances when playing with friends only. Mainly because of the same reason: everyone would expect me to be a bard. The problem is, as an archer, i use a lot of the other cross-class abilities, (mainly Mercy Strike, Bloodbath, and Invigorate--all abilities not available to Bard)

Some people like their system and get all pissy when someone presents a new idea. My suggestion is to mainly stick with friends when doing that to avoid hate.

Not sure about Archer though... that's a bit more interesting. Bard songs are largely wasted in 4 mans and I'm not sure how much DEX you lose when you ditch the crystal.

Well I'm not playing to piss anyone off and instead of getting mad they can just say. (Hey here is the pluses of being a Summoner) Then i will say (Oh thanks i didn't know) Instead of getting mad a lil helpful advice go's along way getting mad does nothing to help yourself or the player you are getting mad at. If i see a player doing something wrong i help them because they just simply may not know that they are doing something wrong.

Not only do you lose intelligence, pet damage, and fester/spur/enkindle by going as a arcanist, but you also can't wear myth gear or your relic/zenith/atma/animus/novus weapon. The only things you get by being an arcanist instead of a summoner is blood for blood, internal release and aero, and since aero doesn't spread with bane it's not all that useful

Thanks I'm lvl'ing Thaumaturge now and who knows i may even like playing a Summoner only one way to find out i guess lol

By beaten to death, I mean 'proved inferior over and over and over and over and over.'

SE failed at creating class variety through the use of cross class skills.
Advanced classes like WHM, MNK, WAR,... get buffed main stats compared to the base classes, and out of the cross class skills you can use, only a few of them make sense.

So basically everyone ends up playing the same class with the same skills.
While this makes creating content alot easier, it kills one of the aspects which made the class system of FF so unique.
