    Heavy actually isn't a cast, any attack can apply heavy on you while you're mounted, they can even autohit you and apply heavy that way.
    I do think that they could do something with #3 I like it.
    Instead of heavy they should just apply a debuff which stacks while mounted and each stack increasing the damage dealth to you by 20%, you'd think twice to just ride past a horde of mobs and it would actually bring danger back.
    The debuff should apply with every hit you recieve while mounted and last 1 minute, heavy should be removed or nerfed though.

    I believe it is a random chance on any attack that hits you in the rear.

    Not sure if it's ever been confirmed as such but I don't recall ever getting it unless I'm getting hit in the ass with a fireball or lighting bolt.

    Yea, I am up for anything really that makes the situation more dangerous. And me saying "cast" was really just a throwback to older MMOs where everything, even a punch might get called a "cast". I probably should have said "use" instead. Just bad "slang" on my part, like how people calling their characters "toons" makes some players cringe with rage.... lol Pretty sure there was a game where characters were actually called "toons"... Was it City of Heroes maybe?

    Yea, I am up for anything really that makes the situation more dangerous.
    Personally, I don't see any reason why mobs 30-50 ilvls below our characters should pose any threat whatsoever, but maybe that's just me being sensible?

    Sure, if want you can add that on to the list of stuff this thread is making.

    Rule 5)Lower level mobs that apply heavy to player can miss if mob is 10 levels or more below player.

    I'm all for being sensible! :P

    I personally think that the many times I run through mobs that are remotely my level, they should pose some/any threat (If they are way below, they can be buzzing flies, I don't think anyone is debating that)... if they want to be annoying with heavy (and are close to my level), that it is more than just a fly buzzing in my ear... What I don't think is they should be super powerful or anything, just, I think it should require me to put my drink down, stop typing to my friends and focus for a second.

    Monsters should aggro you according to your item level. If you're item level 90 and you get aggro, you're in trouble and that's better than just being Heavy'd.

    If players will be immune to heavy, I just will think about hordes of level 1 players running around all maps to unlock aetherites.

    Heavy while mounted is missing something in ARR
    I think the mounted character should also be forced dismounted the moment the heavy penalty hit him the third time.
    And add to heavy also a defence decrease

    Should have zero to do with iLevel at all. The aggro rules are fine as they are by level, the fact is that Heavy is a cheap mechanic that should be dropped. It serves no real purpose in the game other than to cause frustration to players. It's a now worthless ability that once served a purpose in FFXI where parties used to cast Gravity on mobs to reduce the risks of them running off at low health and bringing reinforcements back.
