Add one more for chocobos and airships. Get rid of teleporting from anywhere and leave it between aethyrite nodes, that, at least makes some kind of sense but the just teleporting from anywhere takes away from the game.
I've been everywhere in Eorzea, theres atleast 2 in each region probably more. Those things are all over. I've seen two in La Noscea (one north of Camp Bloodshore in the east and one east of Camp Bald Knoll in the west) and one in Thanalan by Burning Wall. The first thing I thought of too when I saw them were Airship Platforms, yet they are out in the middle of nowhere.
Airships - Need to be customizable, if not, build-able. If build-able, they need to have multiple complex synthesis recipies that require large amounts of materials, not something 1 person can do with a little time. Plus it should require materials that would need, i dunno, special guild equipment to build, and maybe even need more than 1 person to craft. Could use some more elaboration, but thats basically my idea on that.
^^This, basically not just something you get a license for, we want the whole shibang. What FFXI had and more.- Chocobos
We are all very excited about chocobos. We hear that you are thinking about implementing them in a unique way for FFXIV. We are hoping we still get to ride them and still get to breed them. Chocobo breeding was a lot of fun and we are hoping that you do not forget the amazing detail FFXI had in their different characteristics like, color, crown feathers, tail feathers, curved talons, straight talons, beak size, head size, speed, strength, endurance.
Here are some other characteristics that would be fun to consider:
1. Curly feathers (Feather Texture). Here is a link to better explain: Link: Curly Feathers
2. Skin / scale texture
3. Skin / scale color
4. Eye Color
5. Duration of ride.
6. Chocobo Digging Success
We are really hoping to see many features come into play with the chocobos. On another note, if we do get the equivalent of the mog house, can we please have a little stable inside our house so that we may view our chocobo while inside the house? Here is a picture I drew of the concept, not your amazing artsy concept art drawings but it gets the idea across:

I was totally shocked when I first played the game and went to the guy in Uldah about the Chocobos I was like ????????????????????????
Really???? 5 years and no Chocobls I mean how har.....nevermind geez...
Comeon SE let us have CHOCOBOS!!!
<Chocobo's> <Yes Please>. If the issue for not having Chocobo's is the Anima Teleportation system scratch the system and give me chocobo's that I can ride wherever I want. While it is nice to teleport from one Aetherite crystal to another I would prefer to get on my Low Rider Chocobo that's right I said Low Rider and ride there, most places are not that far so riding there is not a big deal. If they did not intend on giving us Chocobos why are they torturing us with them all over the place?
And I would love to see Airships I mean come on its stupid that they are not available to begin with, they have the infrastructure in place for them, just like the chocobo all they are doing is teasing us.
Main city while nice I would say prioritize the chocobos, airship and the main city as a last.
Marious of Nemesis, Figaro Server: Lancer 37, THM 27, Conj 23
Totally agree!! They should have been there from the start. Anyway It's pretty sure they will add both, but when...? I really hope SE will incorporate at least chocobos really soon. Like others I'll say : please make them so we can customize the armors and colors of our chocobos (this would be awesome!!).

I call it "instaportation" and it breaks the immersion of every game that it's in (not just mmo's like Guild Wars, but it was also one of the primary factors that ruined oblivion for me). I'd like to see teleportation further restricted further (kinda sound like your saying 'portation should be available to / from ANY node/camp to another node/camp) to each camp having a set of nodes that you can port to/from and only to/from and NO porating between camps/city.
(so that if you want to get somewhere other than the region of your current capm you gotta walk/ride)
.... but that would only work if #1 the big chickens were in game and #2 each camp/city had it's own stable (or some other means for a player to get back on their mount [like a whistle] beside waking all the way back to a city.
Chocobo Yes please!.

WT@!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You guys are freaking insane! In a world where magic spells are zipped out by the hundreds daily, some how being able to teleport from any where is an issue? BUT it's only an issue if it can be done from anywhere.....regardless of the fact there there is lore in place that gives good reason why it can be used from any where in that setting and world?
Wow. Just. Wow.
The "instaportation" is a huge time saver for many players. And...it makes a cool sound too.....
You know, SE has the perfect opportunity to kill two birds with one stone. People are complaining about a lack of reasonable death penalty. Of course, that entire debate is torn into whether it should involve EXP loss or not.
Give us Chocobos and Airships, and make it so you lose anima upon death. It'd give people a reason to not die (You wouldn't be able to instant travel as much), and it'd promote the use of Chocobos and Airships by making anima points more rare.
Because quite frankly, unless they tweak the anima regeneration rate or lower the amount you can have stored, people will still be teleporting fairly often. It'd be nice to have a reason to sparsely teleport.
Hell, I'm personally for them just removing anima all together and giving mages teleports to specific areas within each region, but that's another subject all together.
