Novus weapon upgrade system findings

Weapon Info-
Animus = 49
Novus = 51. Lodestone DB shows them with increased weapon damage.
Stats with a 44 cap (11 materia/tier)
Stats with a 31 cap (7/8 materia/tier)

Could someone who is working on Thyrus Novus screencap Piety cap for me? Thank you. (Also Determination please)
PIE = 33
DET = 31

Curtana and Holy Shield are the exception here, because they have different caps compared to a full weapon, so they maybe need less materias in order to get a higher tier.
Curtana stat cap is 53, Holy Shield is 22.

Getting started-
Quest starts at Jalzahn, you have to go talk to the materia people in Central Thanalan. You have to buy 3 Superior Enchanted Inks from Rowena for Allagan Tomestones of Mythology to obtain your Sphere Scroll. Sphere Scroll has to melded to the stats you want on your Relic Novus, up to 75 secondary points in total have to melded before you can obtain your novus. To meld to the sphere scroll you need to get Alexandrite, which can be obtained from

1) Allagan Tomestones of Mythology, buying Mysterious Maps from Rowena and completing them gives Alexandrite
2) Completing FATEs with Animus Equipped

Sphere Scroll melds CAN fail, they start with 100% success rate but will drop as you meld more materia. Once you have melded all the stats you can hand over Animus and Scroll to obtain your Novus

Need 1500 Myth right away in the quest (more after that ?), then we need materia, only we don't know what materia works, and how many.... With the prices, I won't be able to afford it. This turning out to be quite a kick in the balls.

Getting Alex-
Maps which cost 800 myth each./Daily Map
Fates with Animus weapon equipped.
The Alexandrite is always given to the map holder.
The expert Roulette is just what the quest wants you to do to get these new maps. You pick up the quest, you do the roulette, you get the map as you hand in the quest(think weekly primal kills quest). And yes you must wear your animus to get Alexandrite from a FATE.

Fuse Findings-
When infusing at less than 100%, I'm pretty sure the dialog box reads as follows:

"If the infusion fails you will lose the materia but not the alexandrite. Proceed?"

Ya might want to mention in OP that the % for success resets to 100% with each new tier you go up. I.e. 50% on Infuse 7 Grade 1 then Infuse 8 is Grade 2 now 100% again.

I'm on infuse 5-6 now for Det
Shea Stardust Rod Animus progress:

Infuse 5 is at 70% Grade 1 Materia, won't let me use Grade 2 (failed 2 times)
Infuse 6 is at 60% Grade 1 materia, won't let me use Grade 2 (failed 1 time)
Fuse 11(12) Savage Might Grade 2 Chance 88% Result +1 Det, Fuse 12 will require another Grade 2
Infuse 12(13) Savage Might Grade 2. 80% Chance. Results: +1 Det . Fuse 13 will require another grade 2.
Infuse 17 Savage Might Grade III on Sphere Scroll: Stardust Rod. Chance 100% Result: +1 Det
Infuse 18 Savage Might Grade III on Sphere Scroll: Stardust Rod. Chance 94% Result: +1 Det
Infuse 19 will require Savage Might Grade III Materia.
Progress on shield:
infusion 1 Battledance I 100%
infusion 2 Heaven's Eye I 100%
infusion 3 Heaven's Eye I 100%
infusion 4 Heaven's Eye I 80%
infusion 5 Heaven's Eye I 60%
Holy Shield Infusion 8 for parry (13 stat) 100% using III materia. Gave one stat point.

Infuse 9 (10) Det Grade2 100% Chance +1 Det

#s in () for the total infuses, accidentaly did one crit =)
Infuse 10(11) Savage Might Materia 2 Chance 94% Results +1 Det

Still requires Grade 2 Materia for next fuse of 11.
Infuse 13(14) Savage Might Materia II on Sphere Scroll: Star Dust Rod. Chance 70% Result: +1 Det (1 failure) Infuse 14 shows as needing Grade 2
