Novus weapon upgrade system findings

That's 2.3 stuff so is that novus or something else. I am 14/53 personally but its going to be awhile for sure. Someone may be doing shield and be close to done.

I have done fates past 2 days 10 hours total and i have gotten 0 alexandrite. i have been wearing my animus and i have jumped through many zones doing it with a friend who needs atma. my friend has gotten 5 atma.. i am looking for people to confirm what zones alex drops from or just to tell me they have at least gotten a drop from a fate... any information on obtaining alex from doing fate would be greatly appreciated.

Something that is still unclear to me..my weapon has 4 stats, 2 main and 2 secondary stats. By upgrading to Novus, is it possible to add a fifth stat or better said a 3rd secondary stat? Or can I only replace the 2 secondary stats I have on it? I am not sure, in the quest they said something about 5 scrolls or something.

You can add any combination of stats that are listed on your scroll, up to a maximum of 5 types of stats. The number that they cap at will lower as you increase the variety of stats.

Until yesterday, I've done 6 hours fate farm for only 3 alexandrite, and this morning I just hit one fate before going to work and got one...
