Ninja class have to be worth the NEW farm thing and throwing away old progression...
I wonder how many will change their job then, you know: novus is just THE BEGINNING of Relict... (Ninja will not be released soon, by then we have a lot more GRIND past novus)

I'm going to listen to the advice of all the people who dismiss complaints about mindless grinding, and choose not to do this stuff. It's optional, right? Grinding out EX Primals, Coil, farming tomestones, master crafting, relic quests, etc. None of this feels exciting to me anymore. I'm going to join the ranks of those who just log on to cap tomes and run Coil every week with my static because the people in my FC are awesome and were what actually kept me playing this game for so long. Grinding is okay but not if the illusion of it being interesting somehow breaks down completely. OP is right that sometimes all it needs is proper window dressing or further motivation than what the game currently provides.
As good a time as any to cancel automatic renewal of my subscription. I'll be around a little bit for the remaining three and half months or so, but I do not like the direction development has been heading in since release of this game.
I didn't ignore it, but a release is a release. You ignored that part of what I wrote: "I would like two -->medium-size<-- releases every 45 days much better than one -->big<--- release every three months."
BTW, I work in software development, so the terms "agile development", "continuous integration" and esp. "continuous delivery" mean something to me.
Yoshi already promised that they'll add in things when they are ready (when they are ready).
But they're not going to skip Quality Testing and Assurance just for the sake of "People might get impatient if we dont push this out now before it's ready!"
I work in games development also, working to a sprint for certain things works, for other it doesn't.
Asset production on top of polishing most content takes much more than "45 days", at least for the current development teams standards.

I would assume that to start with Ninja would share gear with another class so it's not god awful to catch up on. Most likely PUG/MNK because, well, Fuma. It screams ninja. If that isn't going to be equiped by a ninja then SE is worse at planning then I have been saying they are for years. Also because stats are extremely limited (and boring) so if it is a DD it would most like fall under STR(monk or dragoon gear, but ninja's traditionally wear light garb)/DEX(if it has to do with ranged attacks so shared with bard)/INT(uh... probly not, but it could be interesting having a magic melee class ala RDM or what FFXI ninja was supposed to be before we turned it into a tank). I mean, unless it is a tank, it's gotta fall under one of those three stats. So the gear precedent is already there to share with for the most part, except for the unique stuff like AF, AF1.5, Relics, etc.
As content continues post Ninja, they would most likely add more unique Ninja specific stuff later, it's basically what they did with FFXI anyway. Each new job would usually get added to old equipment so you don't have to COMPLETELY start over. But what do I know, everyone hates FFXI and wants nothing from that game right?

Sharing equip doesnt give you a novus weapon for your class, neither a mirror or coil weapon...

Please read in context!
I was talking about doing novus NOW means you can throw away all progress because with new class of thief (job will be ninja) you have to do relic again because all Classes have their own unique weapons!
You can start atma farm again, myth for books farm AGAIN and finally novus AGAIN
Edit: New Class is confirmed
What is not confirmed is that new class is thief, it can also mean new class will be something later on and thief is just a job earlier released

Surely a thief could just... steal their weapon!![]()
Dear SE:
Please make the Relic Quest and even bigger grind next time.
Your friend,
Sho Ryuuken

The same what with the quest for the first relict happened as arcanist came ingame. It get easier.
