    Relic quest summary -> Good by to casuals

    **** TITLE TYPO ERROR : Goodbye**

    Relic weapon : 1 dungeon, 3 primals, 2 trials, long quest -> 1-2 days
    Zenith Weapon : 900 Myth -> 2-3 days
    Atma : 20-30h Fate grind -> A week or 2 of only grinding
    Animus : 13500 Myth -> About a month or 2 depending on your grind
    Novus : 60000 Myth OR 75 days of map -> 75++ Days if doing daily quest + materia melding failure wasted days

    In my case, I don't even have Animus yet, getting novus will take approx 150 days as i don't play everyday. If I start now, novus will be my christmas gift

    Conclusion : The relic weapon quest is ABSOLUTLY NOT for casual anymore.... /wave casual. As a semi casual 10h++ a week. I think it's a /Goodbye relic-novus-whatever after novus quest

    P.S I'm wondering who will really attempts novus quest except hardcores

    Why does everyone seem to think casuals are baddies or people who can't stomach grinding? Casual simply means we take things at our own pace. I just finished my third animus book but I can guarantee you I'll be working on novus when I'm done in a few weeks.

    You can thank the 7th console gen and the Wii, with it's library of party games and shovelware, for distorting what the term "casual gamer" means within the gamer community.

    You don't blame the tools, you blame the carpenter. The general public is just too weak minded to understand what it means. They're so desperate to stand out and "be something", that they never learn (or forget) what defines something as casual play. "Casual" is, and will always be, the methodology. Is it a simpler and easier accessed means of acquisition compared to something else of equal or near-equal worth? It's a casual approach if it is. Time, to some extent, is irrelevant.

    while i agree with you, I think there is a lot of misconception about shovelware. There is TONS of it on every system released. Heck, the NES was riddled with them. Atari more so. It's just more apparent now due to better coverage and the internet.

    It's just a misconception that because a casual plays the game at their own pace and hasess time to play, that must mean they are just bad players in general. This is far from the truth. In my opinion, the casual players are generally the "better" players. They generally have better attitudes, more level-headed, and have a better understanding of how their jobs/class works.

    The hardcore are usually more skilled, but their attitudes tend to lack common courtesy and a good attitude. (All business)

    Than you got bads who are just.....bad at everything. Bad attitude and can't 1>2>3 out of a paper bag.

    There are exceptions, but they are not many.

    On topic: I have 2 atma for my first animus. I probably won't even make it to animus anytime soon. Reason being, I play so many jobs at once I don't specialize at one. (Maybe summoner), but not enough to justify grinding this out. But that's me.

    I cannot like this enough times lol thank you. Every time I mention that I am a casual player, people immediately put me into this perspective that I am a horrible player. I have survived, so far, everything the game has thrown at me, and I'm confident I will continue to do so, but at my own pace lol

    Not only do I have responsibilities outside of the game, but I help manage a pathfinder game outside of my play time, so I do not have to worry about getting bricked end-game or getting bored. Pop in, do a few quests, craft a few things, maybe beat an instance I was having problems with, then move on with my life.

    I have no problems being behind on content. =)

    ^ I play every day for at lest 5 hours so not even close to casual . . . . I still haven't bothered finishing my first book. I don't think this is just putting casuals off but a lot of hxc players will be put off too!!
    That being said, I hope they don't change it. . . . fewer maxed out relics will add to their charm imo

    i wont say goodbye causals, but i will say : goodbye to all any alts classes relics you arent planing to specialize in!

    the atma/animus/novus grind just make getting relic on alt jobs a useless. the amount of time you need to put into novus for ONE job is stupidly high. so freaking high that trying to level the other relics is nonsensical.
