My friend is a casual that don't really do coil 2. He has more chances of getting an i110 weapon with novus than the tomestone or t9 weapons. Your point?

I would care more about boredom than time, a long time quest is a good thing for a MMO, and mindless grind is fraud, because you're paying to be bored.

Or good buy to casuals.
I do not think it's a good buy so I'm not going to put much effort into it. I have my animus and sacrificed a lot of time for very little reward. I'm not doing it for novus since I'm burnt out.

I actually like that it's rare and meaning full, just lock it by content, not 6 months of grind, maybe a super hard content that can be done only by 1 out of 1000 players

On the contrary, it is almost very casual compliant.
Casual can't play a long time, they can only play relatively short and irregular sessions.
Beside the Fate camping, you can do everything by short session whenever you want.
You don't need a static to get your stuff done, you can do it "solo" on your own time. You don't need to commit a full night to run a specific raid. You don't need to stay for many hours in front of your computer to have a chance.
Well you have to camp fates but there are no claim system like notorious/named monsters so can just hop in whenever you want if you are lucky.

And don't get me wront here, i'm not saying there is no alternative... i'm strictly speaking about TIME here, the time it will require for everybody will differ and my point is that it's gonna make some ppl (casuals) afraid of this quests because they don't want their upgrade comming in 6 / 12 months,
THAT is my point

I'm a casual by every definition of the word, but I have no issue with this. I played FFXI casually for years, and always enjoyed it. The relic weapons that you would get from dynamis (if i remember correctly.. I never did any of that stuff) were not something everyone aspired to, but the dedicated few would wind up getting one.. not sure if they've made it any easier since then. I view this as something similar in design, but not quite as grueling. You know, something for people who enjoy that kind of grind/reward that not everyone will have the patience to go for. As long as there's other stuff for me to do, I'll be happy.

It's just a misconception that because a casual plays the game at their own pace and hasess time to play, that must mean they are just bad players in general. This is far from the truth. In my opinion, the casual players are generally the "better" players. They generally have better attitudes, more level-headed, and have a better understanding of how their jobs/class works.
The hardcore are usually more skilled, but their attitudes tend to lack common courtesy and a good attitude. (All business)
Than you got bads who are just.....bad at everything. Bad attitude and can't 1>2>3 out of a paper bag.
There are exceptions, but they are not many.
On topic: I have 2 atma for my first animus. I probably won't even make it to animus anytime soon. Reason being, I play so many jobs at once I don't specialize at one. (Maybe summoner), but not enough to justify grinding this out. But that's me.
