But to say they don't care about their performance is a bit presumptuous isn't it? How do you know they don't care? And to assume they get mad at you for giving advice, that is also very rare. Problem is what seem like advice to you sounds like cussing to them, especially if it sound like "wtf 1 heal only!?" or "wtf slow down" or "wtf use blizzXYZ" etc.

And seriously, unless you are failing some DPS check to clear a boss, you don't need maxed out DPS e-peen numbers, you want a party that plays nice and smooth. Performance is not just max numbers. You go wag you e-peen and pull hate off the tank, have fun! See:

Perhaps the real question is what does performance mean to you? Have you played healer and tank as well as DPS and being undergeared or new, and really know what they all have to deal with? Or have you forgotten. What does performance really mean in the context of all that?

Somtimes less is more and it could be that your expectations are just unreasonable. Let people play for fun. Don't stress them out. This not some e-sport like SC2 or heaven forbid SC/BW where you need massive APM and can't misclick or miss a mouse click.
I make sure my tone isn't hostile when I give advice, because I been there and it's hard to swallow if someone sounds like they're pissed. And if they actually care about their performance, they should atleast take my suggestion and give a shot and see for themselves.

I can assure you that I played every single class/job and I have the basic understanding of what it's like. The other thing is that the people I encounter are NOT undergeared(i90+), neither was the party. I highly doubt you can consider that "new"

I don't expect them to be on a "MLG" level, but I don't think it's too much to ask to just use a different strategy. I mean really, it's just 2 or 3 more buttons.
