Everyone has the right to be in a party bad or not.....Bad is an opinion in this game anyway. I can have 3 different people tell me 3 totally different things about my abilities in an hour! So play to have fun, otherwise whats the point?Yeah, those other 3 people in your party? Who cares what THEY think. I mean, they're just NPCs, right?
Sarcasm aside, there's a hefty difference between "obsession with max number dps rotations" and "trying". When you go into a party and screw around, refuse to take advice and generally drag everyone else down you're essentially sacrificing everyone else's fun for your own. Which is fine, just do everyone a favor and stay out of parties.
Let me put your comment into interpretive gif.
can't wait to party with you!

Please bring that attitude of "just play to have fun, don't care what other people say" to a single player RPG please. FFXIV: ARR is multiplayer game![]()

But it's not the military either
Freedom of expression and choice is the way to go. Let people play how they want to play.
Duty roulette isn't the place to judge others. End game dungeons is another thing. But stuff like Brayfloux or other dungeons like that even in hard mode is not what should get you upset.

If other players are kindly offering advice, I see no reason why not to cooperate. Yes you pay for the game to have fun, doesn't mean other players pay to watch you troll around and waste everyone's time.

Why not cooperate? Freedom of choice
Troll? Subjective
Time? What's the meaning of time? If the dungeon is completed it doesn't matter if the run took 15-20 minutes more. That's duty roulette, a random encounter with endless possibilities.

I don't see why Freedom of choice should be used as a defense for a player to fool around and cause inconvenience to the other 3 party members.
Example that I've seen many times, Bards pulling mobs before the tanks do and making the tanks chase them around. White Mages that keeps casting Holy and not healing, doesn't stop when asked nicely, causing the party to wipe.

If you go into a DF expecting "1337" players then you expected too much from DF matchmaking system.
If you aren't constantly trying to group with players you deem worthy of your time and money then you are wasting your own time. No one is wasting it for you.

Excuse me, I'm not saying that I expect "1337" players. I'm just saying that when asked nicely I don't see why any reason why a player shouldn't cooperate and continue to fool around.
Cooperating to end the dungeon earlier and in a good mood has nothing to do with being elite in the game.

Freedom of expression and choice ends, where you start to annoy, hurt, insult or in any other way disturb the people you play with. It is the same attitude which makes americans believe that "freedom of speech" means, that you can say everything, to everyone and everywhere you want. It is just selfish and ignorant, to interact with other players like that.
