Eos and Selene both provide the exact same healing with Embrace so the only consideration you really have to make about Eos v. Selene is whether you need the AoE healing that Eos provides (Eos also brings the 2 CDs, but those are of marginal importance in picking your fairy). If you need AoE healing, bring Eos. If you don't, bring Selene.

The speed buffs Eos provides amount to a 4-5% reduction in cast time/GCD, and they only have 50% uptime (30 every 60 and they're mutually exclusive). Selene is nowhere *near* a 10% buff to total damage. She's a 2-3% increase at best. She's not even all that useful for burst DPS because she can only buff either DoW or DoM at one time so half of your group is getting the buff while the other have isn't.

Selene's increase to party damage is only useful/valuable when the more numerically powerful tools that Eos brings are going to be wasted. You could quite easily never use Selene, and it's doubtful that anyone would ever notice specifically because her buffs are so small.

Also, you really don't need to micromanage Selene unless you're specifically trying to get her to use her interrupt at a specific moment (not really a major use for her, in my experience since it's on a 1 min CD). Her AI has her keeping one of the two up at all times, and the healing AI is perfectly fine (if Eos isn't healing someone, it's because their hp is above 90% and whatever heal you're throwing at them is already likely to be wasted; I have yet to see a situation where macroing was actually going to help because any time I need to have Eos spam into a single target with me, her AI already has her doing so; pre-2.1, when the fairies wouldn't use Embrace on their own while on Obey, sure, but, now that they'll use Embrace on their own no matter what, no real point).
