Did the party report the person? Mods have said to do so when this happens.Ok, i'll throw in the context:
We were doing a GREED party for levi ex, and our healer wanted the WHM wand, but he changed to scholar because we already had a WHM who had the wand. He really wanted the Wand and even asked for it and everyone agreed. But when the Wand dropped, someone else rolled GREED on it and won, even thought his CNJ was at lvl 0.
This situation really pissed me off.
So I ask that you consider the system I talked about, and discuss it, if it would be good or bad, or even worth the trouble, instead of just jumping to "it's your fault".
You're completely right, don't get me wrong. But sometimes you need that extra pug, you know.
But as I stated, a couple of MMOs already do this, so after that incident, I was wondering what did our community think of it, if it would be worth it or not.
We actually did yeah.
this doesn't make sense, if you made a greed party that's saying anyone can greed. (assuming pf) now if you want to get technical if everyone agreed to let the person have the loot but then lied you can report them but it has nothing to do with them not having a lvl 50 whm it's about them saying they would either pass or greed (And not need) vs anyone can loot greed/need.Ok, i'll throw in the context:

Not quite. A greed party where ppl can ONLY greed and ONLY for the items they call for. These parties are great for gearing alts exactly because you can go with your main, call out the item you want, and greed for it.
The devs have already said they're considering allowing us to actually see the rolls on items. That would partially solve the problem. Unfortunately opening up vote kick at the end of a dungeon has WAY too much chance of abuse so we won't ever be able to remove the troll, but you can ruin their day by having someone else roll and beat them to ensure they don't get the drop.
Yeah, I guess that's a pretty nice feature. Would allow us to detect it right away. The devs have already said they're considering allowing us to actually see the rolls on items. Last week from another thread I read some players confirmed that they reported similar issue and GM had taken promptly action (like in 4hr),
reviewed the case and resovled the dispute, so the healer should call GM asap. If you want i can help you to find out that thread.
sounds more like loot drama from players side rather than the system not working. I'd prefer to have less interference from the game when it comes to loot distribution.
If they agreed to it, they can actually get suspended for it if you report it.Ok, i'll throw in the context:

I agree with the OP in one regard.
If someone rolls Greed on something for a class that they haven't even unlocked, then no, I don't think they have any rights to the loot. If they actually wanted the loot for the class they would have made the attempt to AT LEAST go to the Guild and unlock it. If there's a blank hyphen sitting in the class's level place, then no, they should not be able to roll greed for it at all. I can for sure recount a time or two when this has happened.
A Coil Turn 1 for example when it still had weekly lockout does. SMN has Ifrit out, we're at Snake, pet aggroes, starts fight early, then that SMN dies. And before he gets raised, he returns to the beginning, then gets locked out. Once the fight is over no help to him whatsoever, he rolls greed on some Monk gear and gets it over other people who actually had a much more deserving chance of it. Did he have the class even unlocked? Nope, Pugilist was blank. I actually said something at the time as well, we should not have let him had a shot at anything at that point, and I would have blacklisted him myself.
Because he did not apologize, say he was sorry, nothing. He died, let us do all the work, then said nothing, got some gear for no work practically, then left after saying "gg". Those are the kinds of people something like this would help to avoid.
